Nevermind the fool(s) who actually DID the killing...

Lemme see if I get this straight:

"Thou shalt not kill-unless you can PAY somebody else to do it."

Or maybe-"Thou shalt not kill-unless the killing has already started and the guy's a scumbag anyway, so what the hell...."

How about-" Thou shalt not kill unless it's justified-And it's not justified unless WE SAY it's justified-'Cause we're in charge."

Eruh. You fundies and sheeple want me to have FAITH!!?? Faith in WHAT?? Stupidity?? Hypocrisy?? Cole Slaw?? WHAT!!!??

It's all made up on a whim on the fly. Stuff like this just convinces me that god didn't create man in his own image. Man created god in HIS own image to assuage his own needs and fears.

"Ten Commandments" my foot......"Ten Conveniences" is more like it from what I can see.

A man who hires someone to kill a family member is not a Christian. He can call himself anything he wants to.

The more accurate description of that commandment is 'Thou shall not Murder'. He obviously broke that one and then committed suicide, another sin.

The people hired also knew murder is a crime even if they did not believe it to be a sin.

So please don't place all religious people of faith into the same leaky boat as a wantabe Christian.

Faith is not stupid, but stupid people can claim faith.

It is curious, is it not, that a person can claim to be a Christian for decades, and everyone is happy to recognize him as such until he does something horrible, after which "He was never a Christian".

As though Christians can't do horrible things.

Go for the cole slaw.

Strange...I don't see "He was never a Christian" in any of the above posts...
More "imagination" at work here?

Nah, I was responding to b50's point above.

It happens all the time. We've heard about it dozens of times. "A good, Christian wife" loses all of their money to the Nigerian scam and shotguns her husband to death when he finds out and gets angry. "Oh, she was never a Christian, Christians don't do things like that". Yeah, they do.
I also said 'stupid people can claim faith'.

Can a Christian person have a lost moment and become so enraged that they are the legal definition of temporary insanity? Yes.

Can that same person plot a murder, hire people and then wait for the results; be a Christian? No.

Can an atheist kill for no reason? Yes.
Can an atheist kill because of temporary insanity? Yes.

Is that more clear?
b50m, I'm not lumping all Christians in the same place-Just these particular smack-tards and the "do as I say, not as I do" believers.

I just thought it was kinda funny. And yeah, What ABOUT that double standard?

Far as I know, rules is rules. YOU believers made them up-WHY for f&$#'s sakes won't you abide by them?

"Ten Conveniences."

Remember when the pope awhile back came out with a new list of "updated sins?"

WTF?!? They FORGOT some???

There is no shortage of hypocrisy within the Christan community, I think this is why our Lord felt it necessary that such acts should be addressed in the Bible. Those who will receive the worst punishment are men that put themselves out as Christians but continue to do evil things which might lead others away from the Church.
What is it that the Bible has to say about people like Mr. Sennett?

In Luke 17:2 it says "It would be better for him to be thrown into the sea with a millstone tied around his neck than for him to cause one of these little ones to sin."

In 2nd Peter 2 1:2 it says "1 But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves. 2 Many will follow their shameful ways and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. 3 In their greed these teachers will exploit you with stories they have made up. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping."

The above passages for the most part are making reference to those who are in leadership roles within the Church who might commit hypocritical acts that might lead others astray.
Personally I think people like Charlie Manson deserve more respect than the likes of Mr. Sennett.

On a final note I will not make it a habit to write BG type posts Smiler

Thanks, BFred, I appreciate that.

I do remember Charlie saying something along the lines of "Man, Being crazy used to MEAN something. Nowadays EVERYBODY'S crazy."

True dat.

Thanks for the scripts. Looked them up.
Seems to me that Christians are also individuals, with the ultimate accounting being to their God.
Road Puppy,

Don't you know that murder is a forgivable sin, but "living in adultry" is not?

In the twisted mind of a (Church of) Christer and Sennett in particular, you can't divorce your wife then marry your mistress because as long as you're married to the mistress you're in a state of sort of perpetual adultry. You can, however, off the wife, ask for forgiveness and live for eternity (with your mistress/now wife) with Jesus. Big Grin

I'm guessing your idea of a Christian is a child-molesting priest.

Here's a thought! Maybe he was "spanked" a lot as a child. I've been told that could be an underlying cause... Wink

Butternut, I've missed you. I was gong to bring up spanking, but elephant beat me to it.

I'm sure you could solve all the world's problems with a cookie and a lollipop.

But you do need to wash your own mouth out with soap, not very lady like sweetie!
