The torpedo is a Russian design, Iran has build and tested it.

We are not looking at a starving nation after 12 years of international sanctions with Iran. We are looking at a nation with an intact air defense system, a small, but potent Navy, support from both China and Russia, and a determined government.

Any attack on Iran will NOT BE A CAKE WALK, AND IRAQ WAS, TILL WE GOT MIRED.
As far as the Nuclear Statement goes it's just show boating. They have already shown how they were in compliance with the UN and abiding by the Non proliferation Treaty and Bush still kept up the threats and bullying. So they cut off access to some of the sites.

Although I don't have any article to back me up at this time I don't see how the UN had any right to impose Sanctions in the first place. It's a cat and mouse game of threats and show boating that Bush and Ahmadinejad are playing.

Iran allowed inspectors and camera's but still Bush insists that they have a "secret" nuclear program. Our own intelligence has said they may have a secret program but we have no evidence of one and even if they did they are least 5 to 10 years away from making any kind of bomb. It looks like another, despite the evidence, "Bush knows they have WMD." See Bush talks to God and God told him to invade Iraq so Bush doesn't need "any stinkin evidence." Uh, even though God was wrong last time that doesn't deter Bush faith. I guess he feels his is faith is being tested.

To me this is just more game playing. Russia and China are walking a fine line of appeasing the madman Bush and still keeping options for relations with Iraq open for the future. Outside of military action the US is really "irrelevant" in the region. And if we want to get bogged down in another quagmire Iran is saying go ahead. They are left no choice, like Iraq, no matter what they do Bush and Israel are going to attack.

The UN Security Council voted sanctions on North Korea, and I have read in the NY Times they already have evidence that China is ignoring it.

Maybe I am wrong but what will come on Feb 11th will be more of the same. And Iran's tests have not lived up to previous claims or expectations. They basically have the capability to make "glow in the dark watches."

The corporate media is beating the war drum again.
