Get your lumps of coal now while supplies last. It seems Santa has forgot to check his list twice. Only 19.95 per lump, you may want more than one if someone has been really naughty.
All joking aside I was just refecting on how Christmas is compared to what it was. I recall my parents telling us how they might get a fresh orange and a banana in their stocking. MY how times have changed. Just dreaming here, but how nice it would be to have a Christmas where all the gifts were handmade. A cake or pie, something simple, but something that came from the heart instead of the pocketbook. I guess the walmarts of the world would go belly up. We, myself included, don't give the people we care about the best gift of all, our time. Just something to ponder on.

We were just talking about this...there was "advice" on how homemade gifts aren't cool if you are over 7. They obviously had not had mom's pecan pie or the Scarf that I adore... because like you said it came from the heart. Homemade gifts take so much more time...It seems that no one has enough anymore! Time to visit...time to make those "priceless" gifts.
My family did not by one thing from Wal-Mart, which supports China which in turns kills people that celebrate Christmas. Our Christmas tree was decorated decorations hand made by our children, even the star that goes on top. I'm PROUD to say we are true blue AMERICANS! We don't give in the big money and special interest! Happy New Year! Smiler
I love the homemade decorated Christmas tree. Each year when you bring it back out the ornaments bring back special memories...Store bought doesnt bring that same feeling. We need to figure out a way to enjoy making a life instead of letting our career and life lead us! It's Sad how the things that mean the most to us we take for granted!
