We see the essence of Tyranny and Dictatorship the way that the Democrats shoved through the Healthcare Bill without regard to how much it will cost us or if the people liked it. We saw the backroom negotiation, secret offers, bribes for votes and then the disregard for voting in the House by just accepting the Senate bill with promises to "fix it" later. We heard Nancy Pelosi say we had to vote for it and pass it in order to see what was in it. We saw deliberate misrepresenting of the cost until after the vote and yet all this from an administration that preached unprecedented openness. What we had was unprecedented concealment. The only thing that was open was the bribes that were promised for votes for it.

One party dictates .. they know best for you and will make sure you get what they want. The other party is taking steps to LISTEN.

November it's important to send a message that Washington can't help but listen to. I hope that happens.

Right, the tyranny and dictatorship of an elected majority doing what they said they would do (actually less) when people voted for them.

Also, that site's nice and everything, but it's not like Republicans are going to adopt any policy suggestions that they don't already agree with. The Republicans already know where they stand on the major issues of the day and so do the Democrats. They only "listening" politicians really do is at the ballot box.
I do agree with the independent stance or I did. While I do agree that both parties have their bad points and bad players I never thought that party voting was smart. I will take a leave of absence from that thought for at least the present time.

The current Democratic party with Obama at the head and Pelosi and Reid running the show in Congress has taken steps that are blatantly against the Constitution that they are sworn to uphold and protect. Sure the republicans have done things that are distasteful or wrong but never did anything they do put the freedoms that we enjoy, our Constitutional freedoms, in jeopardy.

I think it's time to get rid of ALL the current batch of Democrats and rebuild the party again and until that happens I consider myself Anything but Democrat as the current democratic party is dangerous to America whether or not people want to believe that and unfortunately, like it or not, we still are in a two party nation where any third party vote usually ends up supporting the Democratic party.

Just look at some of the overt things that has happened with Democrats in office:

Push for measures that would allow ILLEGAL immigrants to vote.

Private negotiation of the Health Care Bill where Pelosi said we had to pass it in order to see what was in it.

Deeming the Health Care bill passed in order to avoid a vote that most likely would have defeated it in order to circumvent the overall public's opinion.

Control of the media to where only favorable stories are covered and unfavorable ones are either not covered, omitted, or suppressed.

Seeking to find Judges that will make laws rather than interpret laws as to the Constitution.

Government takeover of private businesses and industries

Appointment of unconstitutional positions that are not confirmed by Congress putting them out of control of Checks and Balances. That is the appointment of Czars.

Appointment of Aides to the President that are openly either Socialist, Communist bent or either they are hostile to the American Capitalistic form of Government.

Overt attempts to isolate former friends to America and befriend enemies all the while apologizing for America as if we were the worst country on the face of the earth that has ever existed.

At times seeking defeat on the battle field in a war zone if it makes a political opponent look bad ( as in Iraq under the Bush Years).

There are plenty more reasons not to vote for a single democrat and completely start over as the current Democratic party has been hijacked by a radical left fringe of the American population which seeks to govern not according to the people but according to what they consider best for the people.

Only recently have I came to the opinion that things were so bad, so in danger, that voting for one party, down party lines, was necessary and is why I feel that unless we restore control of Congress back into Republican hands, as a check against a run away president, that our countries freedoms will disappear into a Socialist country.
