Link to NYC Board decision

One wonders how many of the votes came from people either afraid to "offend" the Muslims or were Muslim themselves.

We now have a President that has a Muslim name and apologizes for all the wrongs that America has done.

Why not build some dojo over above the Battleship Arizona? Why not some shrine to the Emperor floating right above.

Did our parents Generation elect a President named Yamota or Tojo?

One more reason not to live in or visit New York to me. I only feel for the families that had relatives or loved ones that died in those buildings.

Be as the Bereans ( Acts 17:11 )

There is a tiny historical Greek Orthodox (Eastern Christian) church nestled about two blocks from Ground Zero. They do not know from day to day whether the church will be allowed to stay. The Greek Church helped keep early Christianity alive. Whether your church accepts any of its beliefs - other than belief in God and Jesus Christ it helped to keep the faith and get you where you are. I am having a really hard time over this development!

earthmomma I think you said the operative word ... "Christian" which in this administration and to some degree today is a taboo.

Anything to do with Christianity, that the government has anything to comment on or with or do with is a problem with separation of church and state however Muslims are a different story.

As demonstrated with our Attorney General, Erik Holder, under examination by Congress he was extremely apprehensive to even mention that there is Radical Muslims. He was "afraid' to offend some religion. Again the operative word here is Christian .. I'm afraid that Church is in serious trouble now and will have to relocate if the government remains predictable.

I couldn't agree more. Muslims destroyed buildings and lives that day -- it's distasteful and disrespectful. There are plenty of other places to put a mosque without doing it there. The Constitution gives them the right to freedom of religion, but it doesn't give them the right to put it anywhere they want.
