I don't know that this is the best place to ask but it's at least a thought.  I have a friend that is visiting Panama City Beach and ask me about "Pineapple Willies".  I told him I had never heard of it but would ask on the food forum as there are a lot of food lovers here.  So if anyone has any advise about PW then pass it along or if there are better places or other places in Panama City that he should try I'll pass that along also.  He goes next week so maybe by then I'll have some info.

Tourist trap, expensive and not really that good.  The onion rings are good tho.  Dusty's ( a local place down on Front Beach Rd  has pretty good food and oysters and their beer happy hour prices are hard to beat, there is Billy's and Michael T's there on Thomas drive that is not to bad either. These places dont have the tourist type hype really but decent food and a reasonable price.

If you ever think of it post it, it sounds sorta like the Beach Diner on Thomas Drive near the Naval Base. It has a lunch buffet along with breakfast and its sorta a hole in the wall place but not bad.

I bet it's All American Diner...just off of South Thomas on Beach Front...it's a buffet type breakfast place, but still pretty good.

Boon Docks has excellent seafood.  The grilled shrimp is to die for.  Captain Anderson's has great food but it is pricey.  I can't remember if the name of the diner is All American but there is one on Front Beach Road that looks sorta like a rail car diner, a 50's theme.  Can't beat their breakfast buffet.  Scampi's on Thomas Drive is good too.  Boar's Head if you are wanting a steak and they have good seafood too.  Same for Angelo's.  I've eaten at Pineapple Willy's but wasn't impressed.

In Panama City, go to Pepper's for good Mexican food.  If you can, try to go to Port St. Joe (East of Panama City) and eat at the Dockside Cafe (great oysters).  Apalachicola has a good restaurant called "the Owl", they have good food as well.  I know someone already mentioned it but Angelo's is Awesome if you want a good steak.  Have fun!

There is a little restaurant just before you go across the bridge into PC.  It's Panama City Cafe, white bldg with aqua & white awnings.Lots of black iron lampost, really cute place.   Think it closes @ 2:00.PM

They have great breakfast and the lunches are really good too.  Taste is definatly homemade.

I heard from my friend today and He said Angelo's and Captain Anderson's were great and was very appreciative of the recommendations that were given by forum participants.  He did indicate that he went way over budget on food but that he actually felt it was worth it to be able to set back and enjoy such great meals that could be considered "work's of art".

Anyway thanks to all that participated and volunteered answers and/or experiences.  As for the breakfast places he said maybe next time for he has gorged himself on great steaks and seafood that he got up never wanting for breakfast.
