The count should be really interesting! LOL! BTW, I do not need any of the listed items except perhaps the reefer - and it's illegal!

Big Grin
As far as I know, I have never been in the presence of marijuana and do not intend to be! My point was "DO NOT MAKE FUN OF OLDER PEOPLE UNLESS YOU PLAN ON DYING BY AGE 60! I made a feeble attempt at humor with the reefer remark since it was on the list, and it is obvious those who wish to make fun of me - or other older people jumped right in! "Fools rush in where angels fear to tread!" BTW, none of the "cute" posters volunteered to die by 60! LOL! Let me know so I can put you on the list- no takers thus far!
earthmomma, I'm pretty sure people were referring to the Grannie/Gramdma in the article. I don't see anyone here making cracks about old people. I'm not making fun of anybody, I think it's fine for seniors to smoke it, if they like. After all, some states already allow it for medicinal purposes. I don't see why more states don't. I'd be doing it myself if I wasn't afraid of getting busted. Maybe by the time I'm classified as senior, it'll be legal. If so, you can bet your bippy I'll ask my children to put me on the waiting list for the first nursing home that allows it.
Well, I'm the OP and I didn't mean any offense to anyone. It was meant to be in fun, but clearly all of those products are aimed toward seniors in the advertising and that's why they were on the shopping list, since this article was about seniors smoking pot. I'm glad you don't need any of them, but I don't think people who do should consider it shameful or be defensive about it. Hey, it's life. We all know we'll be there one day...if we're lucky to live that long.
I take it from your post that you do not want to be on the "Die at 59" list! I will erase your name! LOL! The commercial which offends me the most is the one where the oldster says," And my chair did not cost me a penny. Medicare paid for it". I am on Medicare- and that is my money! I am lucky enough to have a hefty IRS bill every year - and he/she is telling everyone that a rolling chair can be finagled out of Medicare! For around the house, a walker will suffice for a lot less money when the need arises. FA, as long as you are safely off THE LIST, you are forgiven! Robert Browning once said, "Grow old along with me - the best is yet to be!" BTW, I learned this in 1948 and still remember it! I buried a 97 year old aunt about three months ago!

You know you're getting there when half the items in your shopping cart say. "FOR FAST RELIEF..." Wink

As one that has met you, and had the honor of sitting and talking to you, i want you to know that, IMO, you are far younger that many others i've met that have lived only half your years.
