Independence, MO (WDAF/CNN) - With the two people police believe conspired to kill Randy Stone behind bars, police in Missouri are now releasing new information about the case.
Both Stone's wife Teresa and their Pastor David Love are now serving prison time in connection with Stone's murder.
Investigators say just days after killing Stone, but before he was charged with the crime, Reverend Love presided over his funeral.
A prosecutor in the bizarre love triangle turned murder says as the pastor of New Hope Baptist church in Independence, Love violated three commandments: thou shalt not commit adultery, thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife, and thou shalt not murder.
Love shot and killed Randy Stone on March 31, 2010.
"I came to this city 11 years ago and in March of 1999 I met Randy Stone," said Love as he eulogized Stone.
Just days later, a brazen Love stood in front of a church filled with grieving family and friends and for more than 40 minutes Love eulogized Randy Stone.
"Questions like why, why him, why now, without answers death seems so cold. But we say we anticipated he'd grow old, we anticipated we'd do more things together," Love had said.
Stone didn't' grow old, in part because investigators say his wife and his pastor were involved in a decade-long affair, and Stone was in the way.
"The final word is the word preparation you see there is nothing more that we can do for Randy Stone. There is nothing more that we can do for him," said Love.
Love letters and e-mails between Love and Theresa Stone were discovered by police. In them, the two conspiring to kill Randy so they could live happily ever after.
"He'll never have another thought in this body, another emotion, another hunger pain, he'll never be able to sign another policy or kiss his wife on this side of glory."
Randy will never again kiss his wife. But then again, his wife now sits in prison. The same for Love, who will stay there for life.
