My father-in-law is not in very good health. He has an array of problems and I won't go into every single little detail. He is in Knoxville this morning having open heart surgery and having a quadruple by-pass. We are very concerned for him. The doctor's were unable to perform the surgery on the original date because they said his body couldn't handle it. He was taken back at 6:15 and they say the surgery should be completely over by 1:00 if everything goes well. According to his girlfriend he isn't expecting himself to "make it through the surgery". We have called every single day and talked with him and let the boys talk with him and tell him how much we all love him. He was down here for a visit and stayed a whole week last week to say "good-bye" (those were his words).... so I am just very worried about him and his girlfriend today... so if you are the praying-type please say one for him... and if not then maybe just think a nice thought for them today. His girlfriend is distraught and I am equally as worried about her because of the recovery process.... you see, he is blind and she had to have her leg amputated. It is going to be very difficult for them. My husband wanted to be there for the surgery but decided to wait until he got home from the hospital to go and help take care of him for as long as he possibly can. I hope you all have a great day!

I love my FIL like he truly was my very own father and I just know everything will be alright... Thank you so much. I put him on my church's prayer chain for today so hopefully with all of us he will come through with flying colors! I will keep you posted.
