As Christians we have specific prayers answered in amazing ways. I hope that we can encourage each other with this thread. If you are a non-Christian please be respectful.
We had a rental house that was empty and it was December. If anyone has rental properties you know that November is the absolute worse time to have a tenant move out. Well, we really had to have that income. So in the night my husband was so troubled by the situation that he got out of bed to pray. The next day through a mutual friend we were asked if we had a house available for some people who had to have a place to live that day. It seems that a tree fell inside the house they rented earlier that morning. LOL No one was hurt. I understood that the owners of the house had been thinking about tearing it down anyway.
God is good.

I have one...
I was feeling particularly "sluggish" in my faith one day, and while I usually go to daily Mass- this time I was ready to just drive on by. I was ticked off, and disillusioned and in a "bad place".
Well, the sign outside the church (like a marquee) said " Be not afraid, I go before you always". Well for some reason, that spoke to me, and I went to Mass that morning, and had very relevant Scripture read- stuff I really needed to hear.
Smiler Small thing, but huge impact. I believe it was God speaking to me.
In 1991 I was told I had stage 4 non hodgkins lymphoma. I was told I had less than 3 months to live and I should get my affairs in order. I was told I could take treatments that might prolong my life a few months but probably not. I decided to try the treatments. It was Hell on earth. I was put on numerous prayer lists, I was told that prayer was what cured me. There were 13 of us taking treatments at the time. I am the only one alive. Yes prayers are amswered. They are not always answered the way we want them but God knows what is best for us.

Semi, that can't be. (((HUGS))) to you.
Not that I understand the ways of the Father, but sometimes prayers are answered- but not necessarily in the way we like.
God would never turn His back on you.
My advice, (totally unsolicited) but sometimes we get busy praying and telling God all we need, and we don't LISTEN. Not that this is the case with you- I have no idea. But if you just speak to Him silently from your heart, and listen. You may find His presence again.
Once I REALLY turned my life over to God (I had been a Christian for a long time, but still kept trying to do things MYSELF), He brought me to the place I have always wanted to be. Yet, I still wanted more. So I prayed, "Lord, you have given me so much in this life. The best parents a girl could ever ask for, a beautiful home, great friends, music, books, and SO many more blessings. I hate to ask for anything else, but could you show me my life's work?"

He has done that. And now, little old me who has never really liked kids, is working with kids and getting more satisfaction out of it than I have ever gotten out of anything. I am doing His work, and showing His love. And His love for these kids has rubbed off on me. I LOVE kids!! And I swear, I am the happiest person on the planet! (Thank You, Lord!!!!)
