In what appears to be another instance of the Democratic Party trying in earnest to avoid linking terrorism to Islam, Hillary Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta privately wished in the aftermath of last year’s terrorist attack in San Bernardino, California that the shooter was a white man rather than a Muslim, The Washington Free Beacon reported.

After MSNBC’s Chris Hayes reported that one of the two shooters in the attack was named Syeed Farook, Podesta wrote, "Better if a guy named Sayeed Farouk was reporting that a guy named Christopher Hayes was the shooter.
