Sources close to the investigation said a grand jury has indicted Ashley Greenhill in connection with Taylor's murder.

The grand jury also indicted Ronald Weems, Laurel Pruett, and Matthew Fox.

The remains of Taylor were found along Gnat Pong Road in Muscle Shoals back in December.

I figured it was just a matter of time.

I would appreciate that explanation too Jen. It is confusing. I guess we will just have to wait it out and see what happens. Maybe they will shed some light on the charges of each individual. I dunno.

PS> I wonder whatever happened to Lawguy? He was always very helpful in these type situations.

I believe it's more or less a "stack charges" on them strategy to make sure they're held by letting the bail stack up higher and eventually let a jury decide...either because they didn't want to assign the correct charges to each (they'll get ya for jerking them around one way or another) or there was this small shadow of uncertainty and felt they didn't have enough information to decide and as I said, ultimately let a jury decide the proper charges for each based on the law.

I'm glad another player in this young girls murder is in custody. I'm just concerned that this may hurt the police in the long run. You know there are families that teach their kids to NOT talk to the police (you didn't see anything!), to NOT help the police, don't trust the police, and this is going to be a good example for the mindset of those people. We don't know the full extent of her involvement, but that poor girl (Taylor) could still be laying out there in that field for many years to come while this posse still ran around free if it wasn't for Greenhill. Not a fan of her's at all nor do I feel what she did was right. Maybe at least she can sleep a little better at night by getting this off of her chest, who knows what any of these clowns were thinking. I, for one, am very thankful she came clean.

It's usually the other way around though. She gives her testimony against the other 3 in exchange for not being charged or some sort of leniency. Maybe there wasn't a deal and they just got it out of her.

As I understand it, what ever the Grand Jury indicts anyone for, that would be most possible charge  a person could be convicted for from any Jury Trial.   An indictment at trial time can not be upgraded.  Just say an indictment from the Grand Jury is for Manslaughter, the Jury's can not come back with a conviction for Murder, Murder would not be on the Verdict Form.  Even tho we may think it should be Murder is some cases.

After all the  evidence form both sides and the closing from both sides during the trial . A Judge gives the jurors Instrutions  as by Law and a Verdict Form of what possible options they have to decide down to even a not Guilty.

These bonds are very much above the average and probability for good reason.

The article doesn't specify that she was indicted for Murder, only "in connection with the"...so we don't really know for sure what she was indicted on.  I would assume that they charged her with some crime related to her involvement after the murder (Abuse of corpse; Destruction of evidence).  As I understand it, only one actually committed the murder and the others assisted in the disposal of the body. Hope it clarifies some of your questions.

The updated story from WAFF48. It is my understanding now that the Greenhill girl is being charged with abuse of a corpse and hindering prosecution. The only one who is actually charged with the murder is Ronald Weems. All the others are just accessories to the fact.

I really do hope to see justice done here. I knew Amanda and her family most of my life up until around age 16. We actually grew up in the same neighborhood and when to the same school and church. I will always remember her as a sweet girl who was always making us laugh and was always very friendly. I just hope to see the people responsible for her murder prosecuted. This family needs this closure so they can move on from this tragedy or at least try to.
