Thanks for pointing out the error. Almost four years on and I'm still living a day in the future.

Downtown and North Florence went unaffected. But I've spoken with people who live in St. Florian and near the Trace who lost power during that time. One guy said his wife called the UD and they asked her if she knew what was going on. Typical Florence.

We were among the ones in the dark, but didn't realize it covered such a large area. I'd like to know the reason, too.

Does anyone ever call the Utilities Department to report an outage and not get a busy signal? Mad

They blame it on the squirrels or birds. In our community we have 2 to 4 power bleeps a week. Hardly any way do leave programming on preselect for computer or TV. It stinks.

Testy testy ratty. "TVA lost a grid from what I heard" was what was said. Last I checked, 'from what I heard' was not a statement of fact. Its repeating gossip. There is no lack of that here.

Now your post looks like it is meant as a statement of fact. I sure hope you are correct, lest you be considered a hypocrite....
This is the Times Daily Forums. If you are looking for factual news, click the 'HOME' or the 'NEWS' links at the top of the page. I would venture to say most of these folks arent reporters and arent here to report news, they are here to 'gossip' (aka discuss) the local goings on in the area (both reported by the Times Daily and otherwise.)

If you were looking for factual NEWS, you came to the wrong place. If you were looking for gossip, welcome to the forums, there is no shortage of it here.....
