I believe this country will eventually have a civil war. I hope not but with all the hate, fighting, killings, etc. going on, how can it not come to that?

“Welcome to the new American Civil War where gays hate Christians and conservatives; blacks hate whites and the police; and Christians are trying to love everyone and save the Constitution, while being caught in the middle of a bloody, communist-enabling culture war”.

Semi, by it's very definition, civil war cannot come with all the hate . . .

it is that which jump starts them.

In 1780-81, The American Civil War was predicted by the British Loyalist form Pennsylvania and New Jersey reassigned from fighting patriots in their home states and deployed to South Carolina when state brother was fighting against brother in the Backcountry.

There were hoping a civil war would break out between the patriots and loyalist and save them some messy battles.  Yorktown was the cumulating of their flawed plan.

Actually, smaller skirmishes and larger ones such as King's Mountain, Cowpens, and Guillford Court  House were portends of the fate to befall the Brit at Yorktown.

In  short, the cohesiveness of the South during that period in the RevWar ensured there would be a United States.

I used to think that too but when people realize that the sky hasn't fallen since last Friday, things will cool off. The race thing is troublesome but I believe that the majority of people in this country are fair-minded and decent. It is just the crazies that you hear about all the time. I find it ironic that the religious people are the ones that bring on the arguments and the problems. They cannot seem to grasp the concept of acceptance and tolerance. Go figure.

As for the story you linked to, I can supply even more stories of gay people being beat up and attacked.

==================

I find it sickening to read such a post, but no surprise. I've stated before that a lot of support for gay rights has been lost because of the lies and refusing to acknowledge there are religious people, plenty of them, for those rights, and plenty of non-religious that oppose them. The same goes for the lie that it's only the Republicans that are against gay rights when you know **** well there are as many democrats. Just because you give them a pass (beternnun) doesn't mean they aren't out there in FULL force being just as vocal. This is just like racism, look the other way for some racists, then blow it up out of proportion and blame others that have nothing to do with it.

________

There are many stories of people being beaten up, not just Gays. Cops, white people just because they're white, etc. I gave the link to that because it was during a Gay Pride Parade. We know you/they are Gay & proud of it, why keep doing those parades? You don't see people doing Straight & proud parades. If we did, there would be Hell to pay. If Gays want to be gay, fine, but why rub it in everyone's face?

The majority of people in this country aren't fair-minded & decent, not anymore. It's the majority of people that insisted the confederate flags & all memorials be taken down. It's the majority of people that want to rid the cities of our policeman. Where is it going to end? How long will it be before the US flag is taken down & replaced with a Gay pride flag or a black pride flag? I don't mean any of this as rude or ugly, it's just my opinion, & we all have one of those.

Of course I did not mean ALL religious people - I meant the wacko extremes like the ones quitting their jobs rather than give marriage licenses or the ones threatening to set themselves on fire because of it.

I don't understand the gay pride parades either and I've never took part in one. Perhaps they will go away now that equality has been served.

There's definitely all kinds of weird people with weird ideas in this world. Some of them think they will get a crown with dozens of stones in it for the good they do.
