Didn't the forum lose several of it's more active members or have them go silent?  I wonder if the great advances of our Democratic leadership along with the effect of Democratic Healthcare (aka Obamacare) might have had something to do with it?    Maybe their healthcare cost doubled along with their deductibles tripling to quadrupling.  Maybe they just don't have anything real to brag about because this administration has actually been worse than Jimmy Carter making even his administration look good.  Maybe it also could be that some have come to the very real realization that today's Democrats aren't really the same as yesterday's Democrats.

It becomes more and more obvious with your frequent resort to such insults as that that you are stretching and straining to denigrate someone with whom you can not compete in the polemic domain.  But go ahead if you wish to continue embarrassing yourself.

Contenduhh, a number of others on this forum have commented about the change in your threads and comments.  I'm simply one who has speculated upon the reason.  I equate it with others I've seen in the same condition.

He does seem more confused lately. He has trouble keeping the posters straight, and I saw that the other day, once more, he got confused and went after Hoob for MY comment. One thing that didn't change is his silly "habit" of trying to belittle folks about typos while he himself pumps out the typos and mistakes almost daily. To beternnun:

And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

How absolutely SHOCKING that you would find concord with direstraits in criticism of yours truly?  Whoda thunk it??!! The world is chock full of surprises!

You are still smarting and bristling, I see, from my sincere efforts to improve your vocabulary (reference: your confusion of "turrets" with Tourette's").  More help for you here, Best:  that ludicrous Norm Crosby type error is not a "typo." No keys were incorrectly struck in making that error; it was an error of ignorance, an ignorance that I nobly, but to no avail, attempted to help you rise from.

Election Day Wisdom:

Politicians

If God wanted us to vote, he would have given us candidates.

The problem with political jokes is they get elected.

We hang the petty thieves and appoint the great ones to public office.

    ~Aesop~

If we got one-tenth of what was promised to us in these State of the Union speeches, there wouldn't be any inducement to go to heaven.

    ~Will Rogers~

Politicians are the same all over.  They promise to build a bridge even where there is no river.

    ~Nikita Khrushchev~

When I was a boy I was told that anybody could become President; I'm beginning to believe it.

    ~Clarence Darrow~

Politicians are people who, when they see light at the end of the tunnel, go out and buy some more tunnel.

    ~John Quinton~

Why pay money to have your family tree traced; go into politics and your opponents will do it for you.

    ~Author unknown~

Politics is the gentle art of getting votes from the poor and campaign funds from the rich, by promising to protect each from the other.

    ~Oscar Ameringer~

I offer my opponents a bargain: if they will stop telling lies about us, I will stop telling the truth about them.

    ~Adlai Stevenson, 1952~

A politician is a fellow who will lay down your life for his country.

    ~ Tex Guinan~

I have come to the conclusion that politics is too serious a matter to be left to the politicians.

    ~Charles de Gaulle~

I didn't see any effort from you, so it would be kinda hard to "bristle". Are you sure you didn't get confused again and post to Hoob? Auto correct is a ***** sometimes, and since we've had to "dumb down" the English language because of the DA uneducated liberals things have only gotten, and will get, worse. Help yourself before you start out to help others. You aren't capable of getting a "rise" out of anything anymore. Glad to see your "coment". LOL!! What's shocking is that you continue to yap about others mistakes while you keep pumping them out yourself.

In your ignorance, combined with your presumptuousness, Best, you probably thought that by putting "Turret Syndrome" or "Turret Syndrome" into a search engine and receiving back the same spelling as part of the response, you have proven that your usage of "turrets" is a correct usage and that I was therefore in error in correcting you. Stated otherwise, you smugly thought you had a "gotcha".

Well, you didn't.  Search engines are pretty smart.  They recognize errors such as yours and direct the searcher to the CORRECT words or phrases.  In the Wikipedia entry for Tourette Syndrome, at the top of the first page, you  will find this:  (bold type added by me):

Tourette syndrome

(redirected from Turrets syndrome)
Also found in: Dictionary, Wikipedia.

"Redirected," Best, means that the search engine has detected a word or phrase that  is "close but no cigar" or maybe not even that close, but close enough such that it is recognized as a common error that is entered in search of a particular term.  The search engine then helps you out in your ignorance by showing you the correct term and providing information concerning it. So much for your list of links to the various ways that the subject word is misspelled.  The CORRECT spelling is Tourette Syndrome and always has been.

Conclusion:  YOUR ignorance was indeed demonstrated in your misspelling of the word

The National Institutes of  Health should settle the matter:

Conclusion:  YOUR ignorance was indeed demonstrated in your misspelling of the word. And YOUR little feeble effort at a "gotcha" backfired.  Now go put some salve on those powder burns. BTW, "Tourette's Syndrome" is also acceptable, so can any ideas about gigging me for the "'s".
