I think if George Bush had his way he would change our government into a "monarchy" and anoint himself as King. The only thing stopping him right now is Congress and the American people.

You really need to get a handle on your paranoia...it's showing.

My psychiatrist DID tell me one time that I was crazy. And then when I asked her for a second opinion she said, "Ok, you're ugly!" (Do you GET IT Retard?)

I finally Worked out the definition of "Uniter" and you helped, thank you.
He says (notice the fact that I did not say Bush)I"I am a uniter, not a divider." He means, "I tell you what to do, and you either do it or you are out of the gang." Here is how it works. If you don't obey George The third, you are not a real American. Therefor, we are united, Those who obey George III are Americans, and united. Everyone else is something else. The Republican Party is united by falling into lock step with Bush. No one else is an American. It is the political equivalent of ethnic cleansing.
The Third Reich was united the same way. If you did not tow the line, you went to the camps.
This is why the Justice Department firings happened. Eight department heads showed little signs of independence, purging Republicans from positions of power.
It is a unifying force. You either tow the line, or you are out of here. For Bush, you are either with him, or you are an enemy of America.
Evidence, I get called anti-American on this forum on a regular basis. I get told, and a lot of other people get told, "If you don't like it, leave the country."
That is the definition of "unite" in the Neo Con vernacular. Agree with us or go live in a ghetto.
Not very American attitude in my opinion. But it sure seem to be the "Order of the day."
Thanks to another George, George Orwell, we have a word for what the Neo Cons are doing. It is doublespeak.
Congress could fire him for political reasons, or because he has committed a few hundred crimes.quote:Originally posted by NashBama:

Interventor, it was business as usual. It is so common for an incoming President to replace ALL the Political appointees of the previous President it does not raise any eyebrows. Clinton not only fired 92 of 93 US attorneys he also fired the entire cabinet and nearly all their assistants. New Brooms sweep clean.quote:Originally posted by interventor:
Eddie,
You wouldn't make a double plus good duck speaker!
Eight get fired and its the Apocalypse, Bubba fires 92 out of 93 and its just business, as usual.
Gonzales is a probaly a second rater, but who died? Janet Reno, definitely a third rater, terminally screwed up a simple arrest and 80 people are toast, literally (albeit, partially their own fault). Tanks were deployed against US citizens, but no great call for resignation.
"This job would be a lot easier if it were a dictatorship -- and I was the dictator." George Bush.quote:Originally posted by interventor:
