Good morning,
Can someone please tell me how to quickly post a new topic with a link to the Times Daily article? I clicked on the comment tab, and it took me to the forum page. I did not see any instructions or anything to tell me how to post the article. I ended up sending an email to myself with the link, then cut/paste into the post new topic box. This is my first day in the new format, does anyone have any info on this?

The new software does not allow for automated topic generation from stories.
We are working on "in-story" commenting now where comments are posted directly to stories and hope to have that rolled out in the near future.
Spawning a new thread in the forums for stories was very useful, but was a major source of spam and often resulted in multiple threads for the same topic.

Is there somewhere that explains the permalink? I'm wondering how to insert a URL link where you can insert your own title for the link and it is clickable and takes you to the site or is this done under insert/edit image?
A permalink ensures that the link to this forum stays the same so you can send it to friends, etc even after it has gone into the archives.
You want the HTML button in the tools bar. You need to use the a href html tag.
Otherwise, links in this forum automatically resolve as typed.

Glad to see I'm not the only one..
I hate the new quote feature. Its hard to figure out where the quote ends and the new post begins......

All I do is open a new window with the Times Daily alongside the Forums. Then you can alternate between the two. Copy from one, paste to the other. Not the same as the old feature, but not really that troublesome either.
