I can't tell who is saying what on this new forum. That leaves it up to each poster. If you quote somebody, please put it in bold or italics or set it off in the different color, especially if you quote a buffoon and you don't want it to look like you said it.

At the top of the forum page,
Click on 'Forums'>'Post new topic'.
Put the headline as the title of your post and usually we put a link to the headline/article in the post for reference.

If you use the "Reply with quote now" button that is right next to the big blue cross on the bottom right side of the persons post you want to quote It does just like I did with your post here. It has the caption "originally posted by Captain Obvious" up there before the quote. IS that how you are doing it?
Yes, but look at your above post. It never differentiates between what you quoted me as saying and what you said.

I guess you could also put some type of separator there like this. What they(The Admins) should really do is make the quoted text highlighted by a lighter or darker shade of gray. I think that is the way it was on the old forum. I see what you mean.
Actually , I just checked and it IS that way in the post box but once you post it it changes.
Look at your last two posts, Dark. They ARE a lighter grey.
What can get confusing is when there's a bunch of quotes.

Good idea!

Yeah, I see that but that is just the board color scheme I think. If the Admins would fix it right the quoted part of my post(S) would be a lighter or darker shade of gray making it easier to see who said what. I'm sure all they'd need to do is change a color setting. Maybe they'll read this and give it a try.
Wow, canade? How did you do that? Your post IS exactly like the old forum looked. That is how it should look. See how the quoted part is a different shade?

I have noticed that sometimes the background of a quote is dark, and sometimes it isn't. The actual text is always a bit lighter though. When I think of it, I will usually put the quote in quotes, and sometimes preface it with, ______said, "......" But yeah, if we all started using a different color in our replies, it might be easier.

Canade bolded the quote.

Just a test. To see if it also works if you change the text color.
Edit: I guess not.

I agree.
