Is there anyway to make this actually work? When you quote someone else, it's dialogue runs right into your own with no line distinction, no indentation, nothing.

Many people have argued with the wrong person about the wrong thing because no one could tell one person's writing from another.

Can't you at least put the quoted material in a box?

Thanks

I think you can see the problem here admin.

I visited the eve/social strata/hoop.la website and could determine nothing from it. Except...the basic version is free if anyone wanted to start their own forum. I'm thinking this software didn't cost that much, so why not switch again to something more user friendly. Not holding my breath or anything...

I'm guessing the TD would want another Social Strata format, and that's okay. Who uses the FB feature to sign in? I don't. If we wanted to post an article on FB, we would just use the URL, right?

I particularly dislike having to return to top of page to change forum topics, i.e. go from Misc. to News. There doesn't seem to be a way to see a list of member's previous posts either. My dialog box always shows one unread topic, even though there is none. I could go on...

Let's see if they can tell who is who.

I don't think they care.  They probably see it as our problem, not theirs.

If I have two or more post to quote, I usually do it like I did this one. Add the ID of the person I'm quoting above their post. May take an extra minute but it's not confusing as to which quote belongs to who.

I agree. The quote feature is important for conversations. It doesn't work well in this forum.

The last forum, you could just highlight the particular text you wanted to reply to and it would be quoted in your post. It would also say who wrote the text, making it easier to follow. This is just jumbled together and eventually the post dies simply because it's confusing.
