Of course I don't think this is the real cause and I wouldn't politicize a national tragedy but unfortunately the left has.

"I tell people don't kill all the liberals. Leave enough so we can have two on every campus - living fossils - so we will never forget what these people stood for."
- Rush Limbaugh

Ann Coulter: "My only regret with Tim McVeigh is that he did not go to the
New York Times building"

Glenn Beck: "Hang on, let me just tell you what I'm thinking. I'm thinking about killing Michael Moore, and I'm wondering if I could kill him myself, or if I would need to hire somebody to do it. No, I think I could."

Eric Erickson (Redstate.com): "At what point do [people] get off the couch,
march down to their state legislator's house, pull him outside and beat him
to a bloody pulp for being an idiot?"

Michael Savage: "I say round liberals up and hang em' high. When I hear
someone's in the civil rights business, I oil up my AR-25."

Sharron Angle: " You know, our Founding Fathers, they put that Second Amendment in there for a good reason and that was for the people to protect themselves against a tyrannical government. And in fact Thomas Jefferson said it's good for a country to have a revolution every 20 years.

I hope that's not where we're going, but, you know, if this Congress keeps going the way it is, people are really looking toward those Second Amendment remedies and saying my goodness what can we do to turn this country around? I'll tell you the first thing we need to do is take Harry Reid out."

You were saying? Violent rhetoric from either side doesn't justify it.
He was saying, for days now, all we have heard is "Sarah Palin" this and "Glenn Beck" that. He was saying that maybe the other side should not be throwing stones from the recliner in their glass house.

Yes, both side are politicizing violence. What I find very interesting about these two posts - - All of Ronnies quotes are from the PoTUS. Most of the others are from folks that arent even in an elected office, better yet the highest office in the land....

Captain
Once again, you have posted something from a HIGHLY questionable website that has been known to post false information on SEVERAL occasions before.

From Wiki:
Controversial postings on "Atlas Shrugs" have included a number of false claims,[42][43] including that Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan (who is Jewish) supports Nazi ideology (accompanied by a fake picture of her in a Nazi uniform),[44] a video suggesting that Muslims have sex with goats, a doctored photo showing President Obama urinating on an American flag[6] and false claims that Obama's mother was involved in pornography and that Obama "was involved with a crack ***** in his youth".[45][46] Geller has also posted accusations against President Obama of anti-Semitism and doing the bidding of "Islamic overlords," while her site posted a posting by another writer who, inter alia, suggested without any evidence that the President is the "love child" of Malcolm X (Geller herself says she does not believe that Obama is Malcolm X's love child, and never did).[6][47] During an RT Television News interview, reporter Lauren Lister repeatedly questioned Geller's claim that she is not anti-Muslim, at one point calling attention to Geller's having posted a drawing of Muhammad on her blog with the face of a pig superimposed over his own. Geller responded by saying "I don't know where it is in America that you can't make jokes or make fun."[48]

Geller has also lent her support to a number of other political causes. She has strongly defended former Serbian president Slobodan Milošević, denied the existence of Serbian concentration camps in the 1990s,[21] said that black South Africans are engaging in a "genocide" against whites,[22] and expressed support for the far right English Defence League.[23][9]

What's hillarious about this whole "he said, she said" mess is the fact that there isn't an ounce of evidence that the shooter listened to talk radio, was a Palin fan, or even watched the news. He is a mentally unstable pothead, pure and simple.

Yet, everyone on the news as well as the libs on this forum would have you believe is a a Facebook friend of Palin.
A lot of the press blamed the right immediately after, now they are either backtracking or saying, 'Well it's not right'.

Anything can set someone off if they are not all there. The only political link to this nutcase was a letter from GG to him after he attended a rally. He wrote 'assassinate' on it.

The right did not influence his behavier and neither did the left. He was mad at HER!
Sadly, he also wanted his fifteen minutes of fame.

He could just have easily shot her because she was a blond.
There are currently 4 discussions going on right now with a reference to Palin and the shooting and several more aregarding to conservative personalities. In case you haven't turned on your TV, radio, computer in the last 50 years, there is hate speech everywhere. You might be surprsied to know that it comes out of the mouths of Ariana, Ed, Keith, Maher, etc.

If the kid wasn't crazy, this wouldn't have happened. End of story.
And earlier today a poster, ChuckNorris posted something about a Democrat in Florida who said his opponant should be taken out and shot. It came from a reputable website and was true. I said I was glad he lost the election, even though I am a Dem. I have said many times in the last few days that hate speech from ANYONE is wrong and dangerous.

And isn't it odd that Palin's "map" was sinister but the same "map" was just political when the dems used it. And all those signs calling for Republicans to be killed don't exist even though they're all over the place for anyone to see. Same for anything obama or pelosi said, it didn't happen, even though it's all over youtube for anyone to see.
The form letter he got from Rep Giffords came in 2007. Back when none of you knew who Palin was, or probably even cared who was governor of Alaska or even thought about a tea party movement. Also, another friend came forward and said that he didn't watch TV or listen to talk radio. Can we just agree that he's mentally ill, and words can have consequences?

"Hate speech" has been around and will continue as long as people have differing views. This case has nothing to do with hate speech. It has to do with his mental stability. The liberal media jumped on this "hate speech" bandwagon and now they realize the whole country knows they have no legs to stand on. It's too late to backtrack so they will just continue to beat a dead horse and lose support.
Now, the facts of the shooting in Tucson are clearer. As an acquaintance of Jared Loughner, stated, "He did not watch TV. He disliked the news. He didn’t listen to political radio. He didn’t take sides. He wasn’t on the left. He wasn’t on the right."

There is no link to Sarah Palin, Sean Hannity or Rush Limbaugh. No links to talk radio or Fox News, nor the Tea Party. None, nunca, nada, zilch!

For the past week, pundits and reporters, who should carry the title of poseur, have inundated the air waves, internet and print with statements blaming conservatives. Instead, we seen a window in to vapid minds and dessicated souls -- the reporters.

They so hate those they oppose, they will say anything and write anything to defame them, even if innocent.

Yesterday, Palin spoke out. What was the response from the broadcast media?

ABC -- "Sarah Palin, once again, has found a way to become part of the story. And she may well face further criticism for the timing and scope of her remarks.'

Listen, you sanctimonious idiots, if you hadn't tried to defame her, there would have been no story, no reason for you to be writing the article.

CBS -- "Analysis: Palin Plays the Victim Card.'

Any reporter writing this forty years ago would no longer have a job. It was the media that tried to crucify her. She played only the cards she was dealt.

NBC -- Andrea Mitchell: Palin "Ignorant" For Using Term "Blood Libel"

No, Mitchell, your Most High Ignorance, Palin, as a Christian and a defender of Israel would know full well the meaning of blood libel -- the killing of Christian children for blood to make matzos. We all know it.

She used the phrase, fully justified, to describe the vile, hate filled venom spewed by those who revile her. As a hunter, I suspect she smells the fear and hatred.

Palin's aides state that death threats are at a high. Fully expected, of course, that's part of the strategy, isn't it!
