Hey! Lets not forget some of the other areas of untapped revenue...
Say, a 50 to 100% tax on the following?
Golf balls...a lot of those bought.
Golf clubs...same...plus the people that use them can afford to pay a little more.
All "Drive Thru" fast food...while you are too lazy to turn your cars off and walk in, you are contributing to the cost of environmental clean-up (exhaust fumes) and healthcare (clogged arteries and no exercise)
All pet foods / supplies...after all, pets are not a necessity, just a selfish indulgence.
Anyone drawing Social Security after age 79. After all, in 1935 that was about the life expectancy, so they are just “dead weight”.
All “flavored” coffee.
Any medicine used to treat heartburn, gas, upset stomach , or anything else caused by irresponsible eating/drinking habits.
“Highway Loitering Tax”. For those who “drive around aimlessly, not going anywhere in particular”.
“Parking Space Tax”. WalMart alone would solve the National Debt...then a surplus could be attained from the eating establishments (tied in with the "Medicine Tax"?
.
There are many more...but the one that would generate the most revenue has already been posted...
"Stupid People Tax”
