Rattlesnake SALOON WEBPAGE

My wife's friend just told her about this place that's called Rattlesnake Saloon or "Seven Springs Lodge". My wife's friend invited us to go with them and said they heard it was fantastic. I looked at the website and it does look interesting so wonder if anyone else has heard of them or ate there? I'm glad they also post the prices WITH Tax.

This place is a ways away from town and from what the wife was told you don't drive down or up to the Saloon but have to park away from the place and are escorted to it by the staff. In fact the wife was told you are transported to the site on their own transportation, what ever that is. Anyway it's a Tuscumbia address but from the location of the STAR on the map it looks like possibly 30 minutes out of town or so.

This place looks neat, great, something different so see ya there folks or I'm planning to give it a try sometime soon just wondering why no ones said much about it before ... or maybe I've just missed it.

It's before you get to Barton, turn left on Sand mountain rd.It's a good ways up the mountain. My son,
his wife,my neice & her husband & their 4 & 5yr old daughters went there to ring in the New Year. They had a blast & so did the kids. They have music & they said the food was great & the music was outstanding. They all were very impressed & can't wait to go back.

The place sets on a horse riding resort called, Seven Springs Lodge. The cave was used many years ago for shelter by our early and first Amercian Citizens. I use to go there as a young man and drink the spring water that cascades off of the bluff into the saloon which as been built around it.(Now! I go there as a old man and drink the spring water coming out of the beer tap)
Danny and Faye Foster are the creators of this unique resort and saloon. They are good people and make every attempt to make your vist an enjoyable one.
If you have a horse, you can bring it and ride the many trails they have on the resorts mountainous acres. The ride gives you solitude and a saddle view prospective of the outdoors.
You can ride alone or in a group.

The Saloon is not expensive and will fit the wallet of most working men and women folk.

We went there as aguest of the owner's brother. Saloon bus transported us to the cave. Beautiful scenery. Food was very good and prices that I saw were very reasonable. It is off Mount Mills Road. I can imagine what a crowd they must have on Saturday nights in good weather. Not a lot of tables inside but quite a few outside. Definitely not ideal for cold weather. Very uninque and different! You can even rent and spend the night in a grain silo. You need to check this place out!!
we went there saturday 2-06-10 gate open but nothing else. everything was closed we walked down to the cave where the resturant is it looks neat you ride down in back of a ford truck bed with bench's walking down and up will be a challange for some people it is pretty steep we looked in one of the silo's you can rent and spend the night they are pretty neat. we will go back and try them when they are open
go towards cherokee turn on hwy 247 go about 9miles turn right on 33 go about 1mile on right.
first timers last saturday...awesome! they are adding an additional deck/patio and cabins and zip lines! great food, great music...telling all we know and plan to go back soon. super nice folks and gracious service...fyi, they take their drinking laws seriously, don't plan to partake if you can't show valid id..no matter what your age!
Went there today Sat. 28th at 2pm they were packed Food was excellent and service was real slow they were under staffed don't know if some call in or what but you had to get your on refill's on drink and it took about hour to get 6 hamburgers and 2 chicken finger plates but will go back and give it another try.
I took some friends down last weekend who had never been. They absoultely loved it! Now they will bring their friends and family down. It just spreads word of mouth. It's so neat to watch. Yes, food service can run a little show at times, but they are so incredibly busy and it's fun to hang out while we wait.

The hot wings are definitely worth the wait! Wink
My wife and I went there Friday night. It's a very salt of the earth kind of experience. I really enjoyed it. They were incredibly busy, but the service wasn't bad considering.

I had a burger and my wife got the salad. I would recommend the burger, but not the salad. The burger was pretty good, but not spectacular. I'd like to go back and try it during normal lunch hours to see if there's a difference in the quality of the burger.

From what I was able to tell, it's mostly foodservice type food (I'm not saying that as a knock, just an observation). That's a shame too. It's an incredibly authentic location and (IMO) it deserves an equally authentic cuisine. I'd like to see them add some honest to goodness slow smoked BBQ/chicken, smoked with wood that either came from that land or nearby, and done by someone affiliated with that place that has a true love for BBQ. It's a perfect match.

Anyway, enough of my dream diner in the woods. I intend to go back and this time take my girls. I know they'd love it.

I'd recommend it to anyone looking to try it.
I met people from out of state this weekend who had heard about the place and came here just to visit the Rattlesnake. It was a very unique experience with the set-up being worth a visit but, while the food was reasonably priced, it wasn't reasonably even worth what we paid for it. We were served our appetizer at the same time as our meal and the appetizers (cheese sticks and jalapeno bites) seemed to have been microwaved. I ordered the burger which was decent and others ordered the chicken tenders which were decent as well. The "seasoned fries" tasted like they had been been "warmed up" for our meal. Part of me regretting asking the people from out of state to dine there but they did enjoy the experience though not the food. I truly hope that this "endeavor" will prove profitable which the location/novelty will somewhat compensate for but the quality needs to get better before I can truly recommend it for meal time.
semi,

let me begin with my usual disclaimer....
i have a vested interest in the rattlesnake saloon and work there on the weekends.

i hear how good the food is at least once a day.
i recommend you try the place for yourself.
i do ask you to remember we are a bar.
food service can run slow. we never anticipated the large crowds we're having and we have a small kitchen. we have plans on expanding the kitchen.
everything takes time.... bear with us, you'll have fun, i promise. Big Grin

^ should get kerry gilbert to play at the saloon. his music would be perfect. i had never heard of him and just happened to go to rosie's the night he played there during handy fest. it was old school country that sounded great.
