Hi to all my Forum Friends,

HOLLYWOOD'S NEW MOVIE "NOAH" has caused a stir in the evangelical Christian community and has raised interest in the story of Noah and the Flood.  Ray Comfort, Living Waters / The Way of the Master ministries, has used this momentum to take his message to the streets and oceanside communities of Southern California to test the pulse of the "man/woman on the street" regarding his/her understanding of and relationship with God.

After watching this well done video movie, I had mixed feelings.  I was happy that Ray Comfort, an accomplished street evangelist, is taking the Word of God to the man on the street.  I was perplexed, but not surprised, at the vast majority of answers.  And, my heart ached for those who can so easily discard God and the Bible.

Also, I was a wee bit amused at how many, when asked, would boldly proclaim to be Christian -- and in the same breath admit to watching X-rated movies, stealing, lying, cheating, adultery, fornication, you name it.   But, "Yes, I am a Christian!"

I say amused, because for most of my life (I became a Christian believer at the age of 50) when asked if I was a Christian -- without hesitation I would say,"Yes!"  And, the next moment I would turn and enter a bar or night club for an evening of debauchery.

"Yes!"
I would declare, "I am a Christian."  I believed I was Christian for a number of reasons:  I believed that God and Jesus Christ are real (Satan knows it first hand); I believed that the Bible came from God (Satan can testify that it is from God); I believed in sin, which I was enjoying (Satan makes sin beautiful); and, finally, because I was born and raised in Alabama -- the Belt Buckle of the Bible Belt!   How could I not be Christian?  Satan is a masterful deceiver!

And, that is the same confused thinking that causes people to claim to be Christian -- and all the while keep walking hand in hand with Satan and the world.

Watch this video and see if you agree with my assessment that it is well done -- and that so many folks today need to hear the Word of God, truly hear it:

Noah Movie HD: Noah—And the Last Days

In the time of Noah, people were going about their daily lives, not mindful of the impending destruction.  Like them, are we ignoring warnings of God's coming judgment?  The Bible gives us clear signs of the last days.  Did you know the Scriptures say we will see:

• Flippant use of God's name
• Money-hungry preachers and rampant hypocrisy in the church
• Wars and rumors of wars
• Denial of a global flood

But surely no educated person could believe that Noah and his ark ever really existed.  Wouldn't it be impossible to fit millions of species of animals into one boat?  And what evidence is there (if any) for a worldwide catastrophic flood?  However...what if it did all happen exactly as the Bible says?

What would that mean?  Who was Noah, and why is the amazing account of his life so relevant to you in the 21st century?  Don't be caught unaware. Time may be very short.  Will you be ready?

A movie by Ray Comfort.  This is not the Russell Crowe film.

Now that you have watched this movie -- you may have a number of different feelings:

1.  You may feel sad about the spiritual state of these people; then just forget about it and move on to your next activity, or

2.  You may decide to pray for these lost souls, or

3.  You might, and should, pray for these people -- AND then share this video with all our Friends.

I pray that your choice is number 3.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

bill I can't believe you are encouraging people to watch the nasty movie. What gives? You need to spend your time here in Sheffield repairing the evil memorial your kind left that curses anything the citizens attempt as a remedy for your debauchery. I grew up the same time as did you but I chose to be a good boy. Now you are out there in Hollywood rolling around in the lap of luxury judging poor souls back here that are  being punished for your sins.

To all my Forum friends, the links provided above do not link you to the actual movie featuring Russell Crowe... They link you to a docufilm totally unrelated to the movie production... In fact, the real movie is not something a true Christian would want to view... i'm not sure if our resident troll intended to promote the actual Russell Crowe film or not... The film, the actual Russell Crowe film, has nothing to do with God and, in fact, it does not mention God once.... Please do not be deceived... As Vic stated, this thread probably doesn't belong in the religion forum...

Crusty, my Friend,

I don't recall mentioning "10 signs" -- and I know that is not said in the video.  So, where in your poor mind did you come up with that?

My Friend, if you really want to fool some people -- and APPEAR to be intelligent; try watching the video before you comment on it.

You know.  It is like that old maxim:  "When all else fails -- try reading the instruction manual!"

And, of course, the real instruction manual is God's Word, the Bible.  You really should try reading it sometime.  You just might learn something!

****************************************************************************************************************

Crusty did not say that YOU mentioned  "10 signs." The 10 signs are listed early on in the free  eBook that is available at the Comfort web site, prefaced with these words:

"Here are ten biblical signs for which we are to look:"

As is commonplace, your mouth, via keyboard, is doing its common thing of jumping to conclusions not merited by fact. Crusty obviously came up with the 10 signs by downloading the free book at the Comfort web site, which took Crusty to the information about the "10 signs".  Now you arrogantly and imperiously criticize Crusty for his thoroughness and attentiveness in reviewing this material that you yourself made available.  You need to pay more attention to the stuff YOU post; it could spare you embarrassment in the future.

When all else fails, pay attention to your own stuff!

Bless your little hair-trigger heart!

Contendah, my Friend,

Since in my post and in the video, there was no mention of the "ten signs" -- I questioned our Friend, Crusty.  But, wow!   I am truly impressed!  It is difficult to get Crusty to read a five sentence post -- much less go on a web site and search for more info.  And, I am impressed with you -- since I know how you hold folks like Ray Comfort and myself in great disdain -- and to think that you would go to the effort to download his eBook.

Since I know that neither of you would do that to gain greater knowledge of God's Word -- I can only assume that both of you were searching desperately for rocks to throw.

But, hey, whatever it takes to get you to read good solid Bible teaching is worth it; so, my Friend, go back and search for more rocks.

For your other Friends the following is an excerpt from the Ray Comfort eBook titled "Noah’s Ark, Evolution, and Scientific Facts in the Bible."  If you go to the web site shown in the video, you can down load and read this informative book also.

From that book:

In Noah’s day there was great violence on the earth, much corruption, and the imaginations of men’s hearts were continually evil.  That’s what we are seeing in today’s society.  Are we living in the last days?  Here are ten biblical signs for which we are to look:

● The Scriptures tell us that there will be money-hungry Bible teachers who will slur the Christian faith and deceive many:
“. . . there will be false teachers among you . . . And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed. By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words . . .” (2 Peter 2:1–3).
● There will be wars, earthquakes, famines, and widespread disease:
“For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places” (Matthew 24:7).
● The moon will become blood red:
“The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the coming of the great and awesome day of the LORD” (Acts 2:20).
● Blasphemy will become commonplace:
“. . . in the last days perilous times will come: for men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers . . .” (2 Timothy 3:1,2).
● There will be an increase in the acceptance of homosexuality as there was in the days of Sodom:
“Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot . . . but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed” (Luke 17:28–30).
● Religious hypocrisy will be prevalent:
“For [although] they hold a form of piety (true religion), they deny and reject and are strangers to the power of it [their conduct belies the genuineness of their profession]” (2 Timothy 3:5, Amplified).
● People will deny that God created the heavens and that He judged the world through Noah’s flood:
“There shall come in the last days scoffers . . . for this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished” (2 Peter 3:3,5,6).
● The future will become frightening:
“. . . men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken” (Luke 21:26).
● Scoffers will mock the Second Coming by claiming these signs have always been around:
“. . . scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, and saying, ‘Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation’” (2 Peter 3:3,4).
● People will ignore the warning of the gospel:
“But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be” (Matthew 24:37–39).

Contendah and Crusty, my dear Friends -- please keep up the good work.  You are doing as Paul teaches in Acts 17:11, testing to see if what we write is true.   Good job!

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

Once again, you have no idea what you've posted.  Please stop belittling my intelligence, this is about the fifth time this week you have been totally confused about what you are doing.

Oh look, from your own post that describes the movie:

Crusty, my Friend,

You tell me, "I clicked on your link, got the Noah movie, and all it talks about are the 10 signs in the Bible of the end times, because Jesus says they will be the same as the time before the flood."

As I said, I did watch the Ray Comfort video "Noah" and do not recall any specific mention in the video of the "ten signs" of the End Times.    Yes, it did talk about "signs of the End Times" -- but, I do not recall any mention of "the ten."

I would not have recommended the video without watching all of it first.

I will really appreciate it if YOU will tell me exactly where in the video you found that.   For I still do not believe it is in the video.  Contendah is right that it is in the downloadable eBook.  But, it is not in the video.  If I am wrong, show me.    Thank you for your help.

As a Friend, do YOU think it is wise to post your "selfie" on the Forum?

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Crusty, my Friend,

Actually, both links take us to the full length 30 minute video.  And, I did go, again, to the 3:30 point and forward in the video as you suggest.  Maybe it is because I do not always understand Ray Comfort's Australian accent -- but, I do not hear him speak of ten signs of the End Times.

However, as we watch the video, he does indeed give us ten Scripture references which point to signs of the coming End Times.  It is not Ray Comfort saying it, nor is it Bill Gray saying it.  It is the Bible telling us, in these ten Scripture references, signs to watch for as we wait for the imminent Rapture and the following seven year Tribulation.

My Friend, I am happy that you have paid that much attention to the video.  That can only be good.  I would highly recommend that you go one step further and download his eBook at:

Noah’s Ark, Evolution, & Scientific Facts in the Bible
http://www.noahthemovie.com/

What’s in the eBook?

  • An in depth look at Bible prophecy
  • The real scientific facts in the Bible
  • Answers the question, “What about evolution?”
  • Answers to, “What about mistakes in the Bible?”

My Friend, I am sure that you will enjoy reading this eBook -- and that you, and all of us, can learn from it.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

He says, plain as day, "there are ten major biblical signs".

And as I stated earlier, all those signs exist at pretty much any time in history.  So he is as big a shyster as you and the other end-timers.

Note to Christians and those who believe the Bible: The producer of the movie “Noah,” a self-professed atheist, says he is proud of the fact that he’s taken a story inspired by God’s word and turned it into something so secular.
Director Darren Aronofsky called his movie “the least biblical biblical film ever made,” The Telegraph reported. He also claimed his leading character, Noah, was the “first environmentalist,” something that suggests the movie storyline doesn’t exactly follow the Bible’s.

Hi David,

Welcome back!  It has been a while since you have posted.  Thank you for that article.  I posted it on  Facebook.  We need to make people aware that this is NOT a Christian movie -- and that it has NO Christian agenda whatsoever.

At best, we can say that the movie was made for financial reasons -- to make money by enticing Christians into believing they are spending their money on a Christian movie.

Yet, my personal belief is that it is an atheist attempt to to denigrate the Biblical account of Genesis and has the same purpose as Richard Dawkins failed bus signs.

So, just to remind folks:  The movie "Noah" is an atheist movie.  It is NOT a Christian movie.  The name of God is not mentioned even one time in the entire movie.

David, thank you for posting the URL link to the article.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Billie brown heart, you started out loving this movie and you know it. You

thought it would be a bible study and slam everybody into your silly way of

phony religious thinking.

I'll tell something you didn't know that isn't in the Bible but is tradition. The

Bible states the number of the main people aboard the boat which, btw was

almost round instead of oblong, had a little more than 100 people making the

trip than just the few primary characters we read from the Bible. Realistically

those few couldn't handle all that had to be done. They very well could've

been angles. There again, this is tradition so don't let the common sense

of God mess with your Bible story.

Well, Vic, my Friend,

Let's take a look at what God had to say about Noah, the ark, and the folks on the ark:

Genesis 6:14-15, "Make for yourself an ark of gopher wood; you shall make the ark with rooms, and shall cover it inside and out with pitch.  This is how you shall make it: the length of the ark three hundred cubits, its breadth fifty cubits, and its height thirty cubits."

A cubit is said to have been about 18 inches.  So that would make the ark 450 feet in length, 75 feet wide, and 45 feet high.   If that sound "round" to you and our Pope -- good luck!

Genesis 7:1, 13, "Then the LORD said to Noah, 'Enter the ark, you and all your household, for you alone I have seen to be righteous before Me in this time. . . . (13) On the very same day Noah and Shem and Ham and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife and the three wives of his sons with them, entered the ark."

Now, let's count bodies:  Noah and his wife (2) -- Shem and his wife (2) -- Ham and his wife (2) -- Japeth and his wife (2).   Can you help me add this:  2 + 2 + 2 +2 + 8.

Wait a minute, you told me there was more than 100 people on the ark!  I wonder how God did not know that.  Oh, well, I suppose you and your Pope know more than God.  That can be the ONLY explanation!

Poor God!  He has been surpassed by Vic and his Pope!

God bless (or should that be Vic and Pope bless), have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

Have you EVER been able to speak or type a coherent sentence?  Or, is this confusion a recent affliction?

One thing I might suggest;  "Before opening mouth (or activating your keyboard) -- make sure your brain is in gear!"

My Friend, I pray that suggestion will help you.
