The GOP picks up 10-12 seats in the house. Not enough for takeover but enough that Moderate Democrats replace Nancy Pelosi with a less polarizing figure Steny Hoyer perhaps.

The GOP gains 4-5 Senate seats.

Health care reform passes in some shape or form. Climate change legislation dies.
The economy shows some signs of life by the 3rd quarter or so. The Fed remains neutral on interest rates until after the election.

We will have both inflation and deflation. Food, gas will increase a little, clothing electronics, luxury items will fall.

Your next governor is Bradley Byrne. Jim Folsom wins reelection. Luther Strange wins the AG post. Parker Griffith wins a close race in the primary and general election.

No I see Obama as an ideologue who won't change. I think it will force him to focus on fewer issues. He will ditch climate change and focus his attention on economic/tax issues.
