deep old buddy, i hate to break it to ya. but this place will burn down before it joins the 21st century. you have the majority of the free thinkers in the shoals on this forum with you. sorry friend, sometimes living here ain't pretty! Wink
some of us work hard to turn the term "redneck" into something more. something kin to southern. lol. it only takes one person to ruin that. sorry!

Where is this Shoals Forum? Please give me the link. Sounds interesting to me. I've been out of this area for 3 months and have missed out!
I can't say anything negative about rednecks.......I know for a fact the man I married is one.He is a great guy with a unique way of thinking and over the years his way of life has rubbed off on me.I can say this about him he is honest,a great father, showers daily, never complains about my cooking and a pretty good husband in all ways that matter(throw in the fact that he has finally quit dipping and he is darn near perfect). Ah heck...who am I kidding...I might be a redneck, too.

We have our own flavor of rednecks out here. Pretty much the same distribution of "fun" rednecks and "worthless" rednecks as anywhere else. Although, we have a much higher percentage of people who are useless but work very hard to appear differently than in the south. It's all marketing.

Don't like reading the Shoals Forum, then don't read it, guess you could say I am a redneck to, along with a lot of us.

i think honest, loyal and hard working need to be added to that list.
