I've checked newspapers,realtors but can't find anything
I'm not sure what else you would check then except the internet like Killen Lady said. I just typed in "Rental Homes in Russellville, Alabama" into google and got 10+ pages of stuff.

There is also a Real Estate paper that you can usually find near any of the newspaper boxes around the area. They have hundreds of listing in them. You might try those too. Hope that helps.
Prince Albert not trying to be racist in any way at all but I've heard thats why rental homes aren't advertised.Even one landlord told me with the rental laws the way they are if he advertised he would have to rent to anyone. This isn't the first I've heard this in Franklin county.

It seems like I'm always a day or so late finding out about whats available. Thanks for you guys input and help.

All a landlord would have to say is that he already has a pending renter & keep advertising until he has someone he wants to rent to.
Just because you have a house to rent doesn't mean you have to rent it to whoever comes along.

I saw a For Rent sign on 43 in Littleville across from the Party Pack.
What's wrong with renting to Mexicans? Where are they supposed to live while they're fixing the chicken you eat? All a landlord has to do is say there is a limit to the number of people that are allowed to live in the house and they must all be listed on the lease. For example, two adults and two children, or whatever. Also, limit the number of vehicles that are allowed to be at the residence.

They put 4 people on the lease & 15 move in.
Then you get them outta there and keep their security deposit. I don't understand why landlords don't boot tenants more often for not adhering to the terms of the lease. Landlords have rights too. I would be a strict landlord, but I'd be a good one as far as making sure things were fixed up and always worked properly. Now, all I need is money to buy some properties! LOL!

It can take as long as 2 months to get "deadbeats" out of a property.
It takes money, a lawyer, and dealing with the courts. That's why I dropped buying rental property.

Landlord's don't have as many right's as their renter's. It can take months, & alot of money to get a renter out of your home.

I don't know a great deal about all the tenant laws in Alabama but I'm sure after lawyers, court cost and things like that...your $350-700 deposit would still be a loss.
