In talking to most democrats I work around, who say they are Christians, the response is almost always the same. When asked why they vote democratic they say that democrats stand for unions, jobs, the poor and middle class. When reminded that the democratic platform stands for abortion, including partial birth abortion and rights for gays, including gay marriage, affirmative action and big government they usually say "Yeah I do have a problem with that",

For Christians there should be no doubt how they should vote.If you believe that Jesus would want you to vote for a democrat then you should vote democratic, if you believe Jesus would want you to vote Republican, vote republican.  We are not always going to have a big union boss or some silver tounged politician telling us we are doing the right thing in voting the demovratic ticket. One day, in a blink of an eye,  you will be bowing before God giving an account of why you voted the way you did. Telling God you voted democratic because it is what you were told to do or because it was popular will probably not be the right answer. If you are a Christian, I pray that you will seek the guidance of the Holy spirit before you vote.

A response that could only be made by a Dim Yankee.

I laughed, I cried, I threw up in my mouth a bit.

So in your imagination, when you're standing/bowing/groveling at the feet of your mythical god, you think he will be asking you about your voting record? Nothing about that coveting your neighbor's a** or bearing false witness thingy against others? None of that 10 commandments stuff?  When I was "in the church" I don't remember the commandment-"Thy shalt only vote Republican". Was that added later?  How about hating people such as atheists and homosexuals, or people that believed differently than you? Will he mention that or is that sort of thing OK with him?  So what happens after you "explain" how you voted? If he doesn't like your explanation are you tossed to hell with the rest of the democrats? (Sorry demogimmes, I could not resist). Doesn't he "know your every thought"? So wouldn't he already know all the crap you pulled and just trip the trap door when he saw you?

Yeah, RIGHT!?

EPIC lulz

Thankfully I've missed the part about the torture chamber in Heaven, It must be in the "New Gittha Religion Translation Bible."

Why believe God's gonna Gitcha if you vote wrong, I thought the Devil was the bad guy.

You're telling us once you make it to Heaven your going to have to pay for your forgiven sins ?

I'm glad I believe you pay for your sins here on earth and those who have accepted Christ as their savior will be received with open arms, for he has prepared a place for them in his father's home.

Now if you want to tell me the unforgiven will go to Hell and be held accountable, I'll listen, but I have a deft ear to Heaven has a place for those forgiven to be punished once they have made the passing grade.

Democrats stand for the freedom of choice- we are NOT pro abortion, but we are Pro choice) and rights for gays, including gay marriage,( Just for the Constitution (all people are created equal - everybody should have the same rights as anyone else, unless they commit a crime and have their rights and freedom taken away) affirmative action and big government(big government - hell, it's the republicans that want a government big enough to monitor each and every uterus in the country) they usually say "Yeah I do have a problem with that",(No, informed people do not "have a problem with that")

For Christians there should be no doubt how they should vote.If you believe that Jesus would want you to vote for a democrat then you should vote democratic, if you believe Jesus would want you to vote Republican, vote republican. (As I recall, in the last election many , many preachers were encouraging their congregations to pray about who they should vote for, to be the leader of our country God would have. God answered those prayers and gave us a great leader. Too bad some of you were praying that YOUR will be done, not Gods and refuse to accept the answer to your prayers that was given) We are not always going to have a big union boss or some silver tounged politician telling us we are doing the right thing in voting the demoCratic ticket. Like I said, the prayers of the Christians WERE answered.

Yep, we are told that "All GOOD things come down from the Father of Lights"

Satan caused bad, not God.

God gets blamed for a lot of things that if he were really responsable for, he should be arrested, tried and go to prison .

He didn't do it.
