Cruz a Canadian born, Canadian citizen is the repug offering.

???There are no crazies here in the US that the repugs could have picked from???

Well cruz is counting on the resurrection of Jerry Falwell's religious legacy to get him elected.

Obama haters will see this man as the great redeemer rather than the nut-case he actually is.

I would like to see crust and best weigh in on this nugget.

The Constitution does not define the phrase natural-born citizen, and various opinions have been offered over time regarding its precise meaning. A 2011 Congressional Research Service report stated that

The weight of legal and historical authority indicates that the term "natural born" citizen would mean a person who is entitled to U.S. citizenship "by birth" or "at birth," either by being born "in" the United States and under its jurisdiction, even those born to alien parents; by being born abroad to U.S. citizen-parents; or by being born in other situations meeting legal requirements for U.S. citizenship "at birth." Such term, however, would not include a person who was not a U.S. citizen by birth or at birth, and who was thus born an "alien" required to go through the legal process of "naturalization" to become a U.S. citizen.[1]

That is from the source you provided. I had not looked at wikipedia. I looked at the constitution, declaration of independence and bill of rights. I didn't find it in those. That source don't really tell what is natural born, but it does tell some circumstances that isn't.

I think that if you read a little more you would see that Congress started defining "natural Born" as early as 1790. Cruz is a "natural born" citizen by right of "by birth" because one of his parents was an U.S. citizen.
