okay maybe not a raise directly, however not paying more for benefits is a raise. just ask anyone working in the private sector, whose wages are falling. The challenge is next year teachers union will say they haven't had a raise.  The real question is what are AEA and the retirement systems doing to improve education in Alabama?

Teacher's Unions could care less about the kids or the product they provide. All they care about is adding more layers of bureaucracy so they get more dues paying members.
