Take down the Statue of Liberty? I knew that sorry so-and-so Obama would ruin this country! There's some tea baggers over at my church and I think that I'm going to their next get together.
It did not start with obama, that is likely where it will end. I thought it was crazy when pelosi compared this to social security.

I thought it was a perfect comparison. The govenment decided we couldn't handle saving for retirement on our own, so they stole our money in the name of doing it for us. Now, they've decided we can't handle buying insurance on our own, so they will steal more money in the name of doing that for us. Actually, a pretty good accurate analogy.
And just like social security, medicare, and medicaid, etc. there will be massive budget shortfalls in this health care even with a headstart of collecting taxes for 4 years.

I'm not real happy about this, but I don't feel so gloom and doom.

Very true. The simple solution is to elect a majority that can overturn this without a presidential signature. That can happen in 2010 if people are serious about electing real small-government candidates.

That is if plan B of Rush Limbaugh doesn't go into effect and he starts a civil war. I want to see Rush and Beck go up against a couple of Crips

It might not happen, probably won't. It would if all the people who claim to have discovered small government actually vote that way. With nearly 40 states considering nullification, it's a good start.
