I hear he was hospitalized at the Robert C. Byrd Memorial hospital, is now enroute to the Robert C. Byrd Funeral Home, carried by the Robert C. Byrd Hearse and Limosine Service and will be buried at the Robert C. Byrd National Cemetery. Just a rumor, though.

Now he can be with his little dog, "Billy". (I'm suprised he didn't name "Billy" the Robert C. Byrd canine companion.

You might think that you are joking, but it is altogether possible that all those things named for Byrd do, in fact, exist. I spent three weeks working in West Virginia. I visited every city and town of any size in the entire western half of the state, and sometimes it seemed I was never out of line-of-sight of a public road, building or other structure or development bearing Byrd's name. He is the King of Eponymous Infrastructure!
