The following scripture passage, I believe, gives Christians instructions as how to approach differences with other Christians.  We all, most likely, belong or go to, different Churches and denominations and naturally we will not all agree on Scripture.  I'm curious to see what other Christians feel the following text is saying with regards to our dealings among other Christians?   Also what do you believe causes the arguments and outright nasty behavior of some Christians toward other Christians when we have disagreements that go too far?

Romans 14:1-23 (NIV)
1 Accept him whose faith is weak, without passing judgment on dis****ble matters.
2 One man's faith allows him to eat everything, but another man, whose faith is weak, eats only vegetables.
3 The man who eats everything must not look down on him who does not, and the man who does not eat everything must not condemn the man who does, for God has accepted him.
4 Who are you to judge someone else's servant? To his own master he stands or falls. And he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand.
5 One man considers one day more sacred than another; another man considers every day alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind.
6 He who regards one day as special, does so to the Lord. He who eats meat, eats to the Lord, for he gives thanks to God; and he who abstains, does so to the Lord and gives thanks to God.
7 For none of us lives to himself alone and none of us dies to himself alone.
8 If we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.
9 For this very reason, Christ died and returned to life so that he might be the Lord of both the dead and the living.
10 You, then, why do you judge your brother? Or why do you look down on your brother? For we will all stand before God's judgment seat.
11 It is written: "'As surely as I live,' says the Lord, 'every knee will bow before me; every tongue will confess to God.'"
12 So then, each of us will give an account of himself to God.
13 Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in your brother's way.
14 As one who is in the Lord Jesus, I am fully convinced that no food is unclean in itself. But if anyone regards something as unclean, then for him it is unclean.
15 If your brother is distressed because of what you eat, you are no longer acting in love. Do not by your eating destroy your brother for whom Christ died.
16 Do not allow what you consider good to be spoken of as evil.
17 For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit,
18 because anyone who serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and approved by men.
19 Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification.
20 Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food. All food is clean, but it is wrong for a man to eat anything that causes someone else to stumble.
21 It is better not to eat meat or drink wine or to do anything else that will cause your brother to fall.
22 So whatever you believe about these things keep between yourself and God. Blessed is the man who does not condemn himself by what he approves.
23 But the man who has doubts is condemned if he eats, because his eating is not from faith; and everything that does not come from faith is sin.

Jr. as you knows I insist on the truth of all matters regardless the subject.

I think it will be found if tested Bro Bill and GBRK have extremely high IQ’s.

I know you don’t want to face that fact but it shows. You are not going to out maneuver their command of subjects at hand and the English Language. GB is almost COC and with some adjustment Bill could be.

Common sense being no stranger to Bill GBRK or myself:

jimbo I’m satisfied bills credentials includes genius given what he exhibits as his work and military history. GBRK: I know the level of his work history and given that upon 90 days notice to the FCC can place a amateur space station in orbit around the Earth as allowed by his holding a current “Extra Class Amateur License” [ which I also hold] Issued by the Federal Communications Commission and Genius being required to pass such overwhelming batteries of peer reviewed tests be assured you are addressing  your superiors of intellect.

Unfortunately high IQ's don't equal Wisdom either.  A part of Wisdom is recognizing ones own limitations and not exceeding them.  A fairly good example of someone that has exceeded their own capabilities is when they cease to remain on a subject and proceed to attacking the person rather than the argument.  One, who does this, only reveals their inability to compete in an equal intellectual discussion and demonstrates the shallowness of their own vision of themselves and the world around them.  It presents the temptation to crawl into the same ditch and reduce the discussion to platitudes rather than contributing to the subject through debate and providing one an opportunity not only to tap their own reservoir of knowledge but to test what theories they have and expand ones own knowledge on the subject under consideration.

Intelligence is potentially a part of the measure of information a person has absorbed  through the course of their life.  Wisdom and Common Sense is more an indication of how well a person can utilize what intelligence they have gained and when to put it to use.  Name calling and terse comments about other individuals negates all three (intelligence, Wisdom, and Common Sense) for where even among people that disagree conflicts of information and beliefs are exercised and reveal potentially different exposures the person has had to sources of information.  Name calling and terse comments only reveal the level of bias and prejudice that an individual allows to effect their decision making process.

An example of where bias and prejudice override is where one makes decisions about others not on the other person's capabilities and  abilities but rather based upon your own personal dislike of some position the person allies themselves with.   Hence if the person is a Christian, atheist or Muslim, or Democrat, Republican, Liberal, or Conservative.  A decision to see a person's abilities and capability based upon your personal dislike of their personal choices is NOT an intellectual measure but strictly reflects bias and prejudice which restricts your arguments then to terse derogatory comments rather than substantial debate of issues and puts you at a profound disadvantage for you are seen attacking a person rather than a topic/subject and we all know very little intelligence is needed for that just a working knowledge of elementary playground words which one maxes out at age 9 with.
