I have been amazed at some of the things that people are writing in the forums over racial issues and immigration. So, I want to light a fire under some of you before some more radical issues come to bear. To understand what is happening today, you need to understand what happened "yesterday." Without a knowledge of history, your thoughts and ideas are only plagiarisms of someone else. When you copy someone else's comments, you do so without investigating their comment and only server the "devil" in that you make someone's lie or errored observation appear TRUE! That is called "gossip!" Whether you are religious or not, you should note that gossip is always bad for everyone, including one's self. I am going to put you into a story now and I hope you read it. I want you to read it because it will give you a TRUE idea of what was transpiring in Alabama just after the War between the States. With this you can obtain reasoning behind a lot of prejudices, while at the same time understand that there is little basis/root for most of the present day prejudices still existing in Alabama. And for those of you who would join organizations which you will find illustrated in this story, think seriously afterwards about what you have been told as reasons behind your participation because many times young men are enticed to be part of something great, when the reality of the idea has been corrupted over the years and is now an abomination. Click on this URL or cut 'n paste it to your browser windown....

And please refrain from making racially insensitive comments as this only makes you appear ignorant and uncaring. God bless all of you.

Origins of the Ku Klux Klan

The origin of the Ku Klux Klan was a carefully guarded secret for years, although there were many theories to
explain its beginnings. One Popular notion held that the Ku Klux Klan was originally a secret order of Chinese
opium smugglers. Another claimed it was begun by Confederate prisoners during the war. The most ridiculous
theory attributed the name to some ancient Jewish document referring to the Hebrews enslaved by Egyptian
pharaohs.
In fact the beginning of the Klan involved nothing so sinister, subversive or ancient as the theories supposed. It
was the boredom of small-town life that led six young Confederate veterans to gather around a fireplace one
December evening in 1865 and form a social club. The place was Pulaski, Tennessee, near the Alabama border.
When they reassembled a week later, the six young men were full of ideas for their new society. It would be secret, to heighten the amusement of the thing, and the titles for the various officers were to have names as
preposterous-sounding as possible, partly for the fun of it and partly to avoid any military or political implications.

Is there an echo or did you take time to read what I said, because if you went to the URL it says exactly that. My point is that organizations and groups evolve, some sects evolved into good things and others not so good. And due to the propensity of young people, to want to belong to something so badly that they believe their peers without question, I wrote this so that maybe one or two aspiring individuals might ask themselves the rare question..."why!"
Your comment could go towards anything. Gangs that we have in this area, although no one admits they do, also operate on the idea to join and be with something good. We can never get any young people to ask why. It will take away from their computer, cell phone, im time.
Your comments are great and I agree with them. But until we teach the children to ask why, they won't go out of their way to do so.
Thank you because that is exactly my point. I recall being in a loca gang in high school in the late 60's and early 70's. However, a gang of violence it was not, rather only a group of young boys trying to find themselves in a group. Our limits were, if there was a fight with another gang, we all came with chains and bats, and threw them down to duke it out. Harmless fun like throwing eggs at Halloween. Once even at Ronald Gene's new police car, got us 4 weekends washing police cars. Things have changed now, I know.

Very true, Ikabod. I see a lot of racism here, but it is aimed toward the ILLEGAL's... pure and simple, and NO ONE has an argument about people NOT liking ILLEGAL people taking all the jobs, getting FREE medical, and so and soforth.

Let me see: if you are illegal, and you get deported, that is racism? Excuse me: breaking the law has no racial grounds (except for the "hate crimes" thing....and that is mostly PC crap).

Yes, I believe in "racial profiling" as typically foreigners coming into the U.S. illegally by and large are not Anglo-Saxon, but Hipanic and Asian. Not to mention, if we had more racial profiling on Middle Easterners, we may not have had 911.

Yes, my remarks are very un-P.C., instead, it is VERY realistic. Time to stop the monkey business and deport those who are out to destory us, either intentional or unintentional, via economic or terroristic ways. Time for the businesses and the courts to take action, and stop hiring illegals and to punish those who come here illegally. And, it is high time for Mexico to get its act together.
