I like Rosie O. I loved the show she used to have. I'm not fond of The View. I think she was having hormonal problems while she was on there. I bet Barbara Walters is responsible for bringing her back, she is still involved with the show even though she isn't on it.

Why do you think Rosie's political views hurt the show? Did you think Elizabeth Hasslebeck's political views hurt it?

Semi, no ugly here. Just wondering. I know Rosie is the kind of person you either really like or really don't like. Was just giving my opinion just like you were giving your opinion.

Rosie O'Donnell seems to me to have a good heart, not a vicious or mean person. Is she flawed? Yes, just like most of us. Is her flaw that she has different political views than I do? I don't think so.

Contendah, with all due respect, apparently a lot of people  give a ripsnort or we wouldn't have brought it up  and there wouldn't be millions watching the show.

I rarely watch but why was Hesselbeck so upset over this? Is she jealous she was not asked back? Hesselbeck is the biggest idiot they ever had on the show. The only thing she ever did was appear on Survivor before that. I never understood why they hired the bleach blonde lamebrain. At least Rosie has some intelligence!

I don't know what political party she is and I didn't know she was gay for a long time. I liked her because she was funny and seemed to be a nice person. She had some great bands on her show, turned me on to some music I wouldn't normally have listened to.

Does any one remember-- was Whoopi her replacement on The View? I quit watching it about that time, not because Rosie was off but because of some of the others on the show.

_______

The reason I mentioned her being liberal & gay is because that's how she became known. She started being noticed because she came on strong with her opinion on Politics, & then near the end of her talk show, she announced being "a d*ke. Her attitude of "it's my way or no way" brought her much dislike.

I think it was in 1999, on her talk show, she made the statement, "You are not allowed to own a gun, and if you do own a gun, I think you should go to prison”. Then, a month later, while interviewing Tom Selleck, she got nasty with him about his commercial for the National Rifle Association. Then, of all things, in 2000, O'Donnell's bodyguard applied for a concealed firearm permit. Guess as long as it’s for her safety, it’s ok to own or have a gun close by.
