Did you just get in to town? Remember dragging people by a cable areound their neck? Remember the Police chief spending a Vacation in Montgomery? Lot of stuff always down in R-Ville.
Nothing new. Read it and enjoy it. Big Grin

Exactly. I agree piney. I for one am glad to see that somebody is obviously doing their job. Nothing like a good spring cleaning, whether it be in the courthouse or the PD or out in the general public.
They seem to have higher numbers of arrest for sexual offenders than anywhere around here, not just in law enforcement. (Russellville/Franklin COunty I mean)

I've been confused by the statement below...What was Hargett suggesting to "fix" a cover up?

quote:
Police Chief Chris Hargett (pictured) has indicated the charges against Hall stem from "something that we told him to fix and he didn't do it.”
.
Yeah, what a quote. He ain't my police chief, thank God, but i'm guessing he told that crazy sex addict Hall to not strip search, etc the women, but have a female officer do it. Just a theory. A cop I know says Hall was "crazy" and will now go to prison for a long time. No great loss, not because he's a cop, but because he's nothing more than a rapist.

Why don't you get a life?

Dude, I have a great life; I'm rich, handsome and Chicks dig me.

...not to mention a wisenheimer. Big Grin

I agree with you. Not all cops - or probably even most cops - are dirty, but there are enough out there to make you not trust any of them.

(I don't count you in that group, dogsoldier. I know you're good people.)

Nothing like a little unfounded innuendo to get folks in an uproar. Like you said, "Just the facts, Please".

The unfounded innuendo part is what is so disturbing.
If the story I read is correct and from what I know there has been no TRIAL yet, this is ONCE again someone who is ACCUSED!
The latest blog on Shoalanda Speaks makes it sound like he has already been tried and sentence to the electric chair.
Does anyone besides me see a trend happening in ALL news that is "reported" in this area lately?
With the advent of the TD forum and offspring like Shoalanda Speaks and others, innuendo gets twisted into FACT and these make believe FACTS get twisted into conviction BEFORE a trial and the ENTIRE story is told.
This Entertainment Tonight journalism has spread to the blogs and show a real propensity to rush to judgement and conviction.
It also at least to me show a morbid fascination with the misery of others.
Goes with the herd mentality that seems to have permeated this forum and I guess society.
I prefer to keep a more open mind, I hope there are at least a few people out there who do also.

Gosh, Rocky, the ABI arrests a man for three counts of sexual abuse and states more are probably coming. And five women sue this same man for various sex related crimes. And this man led a program with teenagers, you just might think he coulda done it to them too. I read that blog and SS's contact with the police dept. says the scumbag didn't touch any of the girls in the program. So why are you bellyachin?

I believe "fix" was a bad choice of words. If he was told to discontinue doing something like taking prisoners out and he did it again anyway, then Hall disobeyed a direct order for pretty sad reasons. And if Hall had done what he was ordered, he wouldn't be in this mess now.

Choices made by a bad person don't make all the people who work with him bad. Maybe they are just as disgusted with him as we are.

Don't be so narrow-minded. Do you really think the Chief would have told a subordinate officer to "fix" something, in the term you're using?
