White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders was castigated at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner over the weekend when liberal comedian Michelle Wolf attacked her appearance.

Now, Sanders’ grace-filled response to the widely condemned “jokes” is going viral.

What did she say?

Sanders sat just feet away from Wolf as the liberal comedian attacked her appearance, implying she was ugly and fat. However, despite the public humiliation, Sanders wasn’t angry over the jokes. Instead, she told a reporter she was “praying” for Wolf.

Benny Johnson, a reporter for the Daily Caller, caught up with Sanders and some of her staff at an NBC/MSNBC afterparty. The staffers told Johnson that Sanders was committed to leaving the dinner if the attacks became too personal, so they were surprised when they saw Sanders take the punches.

“I don’t know how she does it. She kills them with kindness — she puts up with it. Good-hearted American people see that — and then she wins,” a Sanders staffer told Johnson.

After speaking with her staffers, Johnson wrote in a now-viral Facebook post that he discussed the incident with Sanders herself.

“Then, Sarah Sanders walks into the party. The MSNBC party. A network that lives to savage and promote the godless vitriol that just attacked her. Guess what? Sarah Sanders was smiling. She owned it,” Johnson wrote. “I asked her about the attack and she shrugged with a smile and just said the attacks didn’t bother her and that she’s praying for the comedian.”

“That is the kind of woman she is,” he said.

Johnson’s story, which he posted to Facebook Sunday afternoon, has received hundreds of thousands of likes and nearly 70,000 shares as of Tuesday.

I was in the room last night when that wretched, leftist “comedian” began attacking Sarah Sanders to her face. It was disgusting. You could not really see it on TV, but virtually no one in the room was laughing. I saw even some of the most liberal reporters in the profession cringe with disgust.
If a conservative comedian was so vicious to a working mother in the Obama administration, they would never get a job in the industry again. The organizers of the dinner would have c...ut their mic.
The double standard is sickening.
However, there is something you must know about Sarah Sanders: She is a better and bigger person than the sad leftists who attack her.
At the MSNBC after-party, I spoke with high-ranking members of Sarah’s staff. They were disgusted by the remarks - and tell me that the plan was for Sarah to walk-out if they got too personal. Sarah however, stayed firm. “I don’t know how she does it,” one of her closest confidants told me, “She kills them with kindness - she puts up with it. Good-hearted American people see that - and then she wins.”
Members of the White House press corp tell me they were sending Sarah a flower basket today - they felt so bad.

Flying into a city to cheap-shot a working mother to her face in front of a room of one thousand journalists because you disagree with her politically is not brave. It’s the definition of a coward and a bully. Putting up with it and forgiving that person afterward?
That is real power.
That is strength.
That is class.
That is Sarah Sanders.

Anything else?

According to Johnson, the White House Correspondents’ Association, which throws the annual dinner to celebrate the First Amendment and journalism and to raise money for scholarships, said they felt so bad over Wolf’s scorning that they planned to send Sanders a flower basket.

However, despite all of the outrage being thrown her way, Wolf has not backed down from her very controversial performance at the dinner.

“I wouldn’t change a single word that I said. I’m very happy with what I said, and I’m glad I stuck to my guns,” Wolf said Monday.

Liberals in that position have done just that countless times,
it's called cowardice... I see it on this forum everyday from
liberals, but not all of them. Their role models help them
to be nauseatingly sleazy such as--- Colbert, Fallon, Kimmel,
Letterman A. Baldwin and K. Griffin to name the very few.
