White House Press Secretary issued a correction late Tuesday night about a job-creating claim she made earlier that day

What’s strange is that I saw the story earlier today, and I meant to write something on it because it seemed like a huge discrepancy, but I’m glad that I waited so I could give the right opinion.

Sanders integrity remains in perfect standing in my book. She could have just not said anything at all, even though there were detractors out there trying to correct the record.

Sarah Sanders

  @PressSec
 Correction from today’s briefing: Jobs numbers for Pres Trump and Pres Obama were correct, but the time frame for Pres Obama wasn’t. I’m sorry for the mistake, but no apologies for the 700,000 jobs for African Americans created under President Trump

One thing I know for sure. Barack Obama said he created 10 million jobs during his eight years in office. Over 90 percent of them were part-time, and that’s a fact.

You can’t have a robust economy with the nation working part-time. During Obama’s time in office, the unemployment rate did decline but it wasn’t because people were going to work, he removed them from the workforce, so they were not counted. That’s was his fuzzy match, I guess.

White House press secretary Sarah Sanders issued a rare correction Tuesday for misstating a fact from the podium in the briefing room.

During Tuesday’s press briefing, Sanders said former President Barack Obama created 195,000 jobs for African-Americans during his eight years in office, according to the White House’s official transcript. Figures from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, however, suggest the Obama administration added 3.2 million jobs for the group to the economy, per CNBC.

Sanders also shared a tweet from the White House’s Council of Economic Advisers apologizing for its “earlier miscommunication” to the top communications aide along with additional data.

Sanders made the mistake in response to a question regarding whether she could personally guarantee a tape did not exist of Trump using a racially-charged slur.

No harm, no foul. Thanks, Sarah for fixing this and moving forward.
