Alabama Governor Robert Bentley, self-alleged family values, traditional marriage, integrity-in- gummint advocate can now add yet one more descriptor: lying hypocrite!
Bentley, in a press conference yesterday, insistently defended himself against allegations of a sexual affair with his chief political adviser, Rebekah Mason. There was no physical relationship, he said.
Concluding his remarks, the Governor "apologized" for saying some inappropriate things, but did not elaborate. Unfortunately for Bentley, those "inappropriate words" were taped and the recording makes it absolutely clear, from his own words, that there were indeed some sultry and sexual goings-on between him and his "chief political adviser. The Yellowhammer article (see below) quotes portions of the tape, but you can hear it for yourself tonight on the Rachel Maddow Show, which will be telecast tonight on MSNBC at 11:00 p.m. Veteran Alabama journalist John Archibald of the Birmingham News/al.com appears on the Maddow Show to explain the News' decision to publish a transcript of the tell-tale tapes.
More detail is available from Yellowhammer News, an Alabama-based conservative news and information service. The report from this source can hardly be described as "mainstream media-biased" or the product of liberal journalists

Here is the sordid story from al.com: http://www.al.com/news/index.s...its_he_made_sex.html
Note that questions have now been raised about whether the Gov might have broken the law if he used his official position and state resources to facilitate an affair.
Word on the street is that it is only a matter of time before Bentley is a goner.
And if he is gone, so is Becky-poo. Will her mysterious $400K salary (Who pays it? No one is saying; ethics implications???) go away when she leaves or will she continue in service to whoever pays it? Strange doings there, one would suspect.
Check in with Rachel tonight; she nails it as usual!
A happy smiling couple:
