I think school should start the day after Labor Day and end the weekend of Memorial day or May 30th. I don'r know how many days there are between the two but that should be tyhe school year. If it snows, blows, floods, or the power goes off, there should be no school and just skip those days and go on with the lessons. If they did away with 29 teachers holidays (extimate), 19 other useless days off, then they would have enough time to learn. Who can prove that they learn more in 180 days than they would in 169 days. If the school has an average of 482 kids, then the state should pay an average of 482 kids for how many days school is scheduled for and not how many kids are there on a paticular day. Just think if the bookkeeping this would save. Nor having to figure each and everyday separate. It would make no difference in teacher's pay since they claim they don't get paid enough anyway. Just some thoughts that probably won't make sense and about 289 !/2 people will be upset. with me.

Just me!!
