According to an uninjured male passenger on the schoolbus, Mr. Scott, the Laidlaw 31/2-4 year employee, was "cut off" by another driver, and as he tried to avoid hitting that car, hit another on the opposite side. He then took additional evasive action which overcompensated and then hit the "Jersey" barrier, dangled for a moment, then fell approximately 30-40 feet, hit the ground, and rolled.
Most of the injuries were to passengers toward the front of the bus.
The uninjured student whom gave the report to WHNT tv19 said he pulled several students of the bus.
He also said, "It was by the grace of God that I wasn't injured. But I'm concerned for so many others."
