I'm mildly surprised by some of Trump's support. Evangelicals, who sat out the last election, partially because they didn't wish to vote for a Mormon.  Blacks, who correctly perceive how open immigration has hurt them.  Blue collar workers, who usually vote Democrat.  Legal Hispanics, who resent those ignoring the law given preference by the Democrats.

Reading the elitist hate towards blue collar workers, once part of the Democrat coalition, doesn't surprise me. How dare, they  leave the plantation and think for themselves.

As to Paul Krugman -- has there ever been a major economist with a worse record for predicting economics?
