They will let out murderers but not Bill Cosby.

Bill Cosby's rep begging Pennsylvania governor to release him early due to coronavirus concerns

Bill Cosby’s representative is pleading with Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf to get the disgraced comedian released from prison due to concerns about his health if he contracts the coronavirus.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, several inmates across the country are being granted early release or home confinement in an effort to empty out prisons to reduce the risk of the virus spreading. However, a Philadelphia Department of Corrections officer told Fox News that Cosby, who is doing time in SCI Phoenix facility in Montgomery County, is not eligible for early release due to his status as a sex offender.

In a statement provided to Fox News, Cosby’s spokesperson, Andrew Wyatt, asks Wolf to change his mind about the celebrity's status due to Cosby’s many physical ailments.

Around the Fall of 2019, Actor & Comedian Bill Cosby was forced to have two major surgeries in-order to sustain his life (prevent him from having a stroke and/or heart attack),” the statement reads. “During a visit to the infirmary at SCI-Phoenix for high blood pressure issues, Mr. Cosby was informed that the carotid arteries on the right and left side of his neck had 90% blockage due to plaque build-up (the carotid arteries are the major blood vessels in the neck that supply blood to the brain, neck and face). Those surgeries were done separately and they were successful. Mr. Cosby now takes medication for high blood pressure and he is 100% blind from glaucoma.”

His statement concludes: “Mr. Cosby was not given a life sentence nor a death sentence, so we are requesting that Gov. Wolf use his gubernatorial powers to show compassion to another human being, Bill Cosby. It has been well documented in the media and by the Secretary of Prisons, John Wetzel, that SCI-Phoenix has been badly infected with the Covid-19 virus.”

Cosby is serving up to 10 years for his 2018 conviction for drugging and sexually assaulting a Temple University employee, Andrea Constand, in 2004. Because of the nature of his crime, he doesn’t fall under the temporary reprieve conditions for vulnerable and nonviolent prisoners authorized by Gov. Wolf.

Wyatt previously told Fox News that chances of infection are increased for Cosby given that he requires the assistance of fellow prisoners who work as support service inmates, known as Certified Peer Specialists (CPI). They’re tasked with cleaning Cosby's cell and wheeling him around the grounds in a wheelchair to various doctor visits.

Wyatt argued that extra exposure to other inmates heightens the risk that Cosby could contract the potentially deadly virus.

I see the White hating judge is out railing early today and here I've
been trying to figure just what statement Cosby was making.

Many women have lost their lives by way of human animal sex predators
but still walk among the living in their contaminated and mutilated once
prized possession. Some women wished they had died and some made
damm sure they did, so at times the blood is on the jackals junk....

Another mistake Bill made was he didn't commit his crime on camera the way the murderer did when he killed his girlfriend and was caught almost in the act....asked if she was dead...and said he hoped she was. Less than two years ago and he was released for fear he would get the virus.  So what if he does get it?  Sign the petition....to keep Cosby in jail is not justice. He should be out....the murderer still in!!

ONE small bit of justice:

Michigan inmate who served 44 years for first-degree murder died of the coronavirus last week while waiting to be released from prison.

William Garrison, 60, had the chance to be paroled in February before Michigan had any reported cases of the virus but refused, holding out for full release without parole supervision in September.

He changed his mind after the virus hit the state and was due to be paroled in early May, according to The Detroit Free Press. He died while waiting to see if his parole would be challenged.

SANTA ANA, Calif. (KABC) -- The Orange County District Attorney's Office on Tuesday issued a community warning after seven high-risk sex-offenders were recently released early from county jails.

The sex offenders were let out this month by Court Commissioner Joseph Dane despite being charged with tampering with their GPS monitoring devices, the D.A.'s office said in a news release.

"These kinds of high-risk sex offenders are the most dangerous kind of criminal and the most likely to re-offend," District Attorney Todd Spitzer said in a statement. "They are doing everything they can to avoid detection by the parole officers assigned to monitor them so they can potentially commit additional sex offenses. These are not the kind of people who should be getting a break. Spitzer accuses Dane of misusing pandemic emergency orders.

"This court commissioner is continuing to use his ability to cite the pandemic as a reason not to impose the mandatory 180 days," Spitzer said.

Orange County Sheriff Don Barnes contended that there was no reason for the early release because jails aren't currently overcrowded, adding that there are measures in place to allow for physical distancing and quarantining of inmates. Barnes reports his jail population is down by 45% since March 7.

"These inmates were released by court order, and are not in any way connected to the measures I have taken to limit the spread of COVID-19 in the Orange County Jail," Barnes said in a Wednesday statement. "We have responsibly created the capacity needed in the jail to house sex offenders and other dangerous criminals. I oppose efforts that excuse criminal behavior and jeopardize the safety of our community."

A spokesperson with the Orange County Superior Court says the court is bound by ethical rules and can't discuss any cases currently before the bench.

Meanwhile sexual abuse advocates with Waymakers encouraged survivors to contact the 24-hour hotline at (714) 957-2737.

The seven sex offenders, who were released between April 7 and April 22, were identified in the community warning issued by the D.A.'s office as:

  • Luis Joel Ramirez, 27, of Costa Mesa, who has a history of sexual battery, assault with a deadly weapon, resisting a peace officer, burglary and possessing a leaded cane, a deadly weapon, and who prosecutors say has violated his parole four times since 2019;

  • James Franklin Bowling, 50, of Orange, who has a history of lewd conduct in a public place, repeated convictions for failing to register as a sex offender, repeated convictions for being a sex offender on school grounds, possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia, and has allegedly violated parole twice since February;

  • Rudy William Grajeda Magdaleno, 39, of Anaheim, who has a history of child molestation, indecent exposure, assault, battery, criminal threats, and inflicting injury on an elder adult, and who prosecutors say has violated parole five times since 2017;

  • Calvin Curtis Coleman, 52, of Santa Ana, who has a history of lewd conduct in a public place and has allegedly violated parole three times since 2019;

  • Kyle Albert Winton, 40, of Mission Viejo, who has a history of child molestation, criminal threats to cause great bodily injury or death, resisting a peace officer, DUI and hit and run with property damage, and has allegedly violated parole once;

  • Jose Adrian Oregel, 46, of Santa Ana, who has a history of unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor, oral copulation of a person under the age of 18, great bodily injury, and being a second striker, and who prosecutors claim has violated parole six times since June of 2019; and

  • Mario Ernesto Sandoval, 45, of Stanton, who has a history of sexual battery, touching for sexual arousal, indecent exposure, assault on a peace officer and assault, and allegedly violated parole once this year.

Sex offender, sprung from California jail due to coronavirus, arrested for indecent exposure

A California sex offender released from jail early due to the coronavirus had been charged with exposing himself at a parole resource center, according to a report.

Rudy William Grajeda Magdaleno, 39, was released from jail under a court order on April 13 after serving 71 days of a 180-day minimum sentence, Fox 11 Los Angeles reported Friday.

The sentence was imposed after Magdaleno was accused of failing to charge his GPS monitor.

Magdaleno and six other sex offenders were released apparently as part of the state Supreme Court's efforts to keep jail populations lower than usual during the pandemic, the station reported.

On Tuesday, Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer accused Superior Court Commissioner Joe Dane of jeopardizing public safety with the releases.

Four of the seven have been arrested since their release, according to the station. It’s unclear if that included Magdaleno.

Prosecutors said Magdaleno, of Anaheim, has a history of child molestation, indecent exposure, assault, battery and criminal threats. He’s also been accused of inflicting injury on an elder adult and violating parole five times since 2017.

According to Fox 11, Magdaleno was accused of exposing himself at the parole resource center on April 17 before fleeing. He was taken into custody Thursday.

But the non-violent Bill Cosby is still in prison.

A Colorado parolee with an extensive criminal history now stands accused of killing a 21-year-old woman after being released three weeks before the slaying under a state mandate to limit the spread of the coronavirus among prison inmates.

Cornelius Haney, 40, was arrested Monday in the fatal May 9 shooting of Heather Perry, Denver police said. Haney was nearing the end of a seven-year robbery sentence when he was released April 15 under special needs parole criteria under an executive order by Democratic Gov. Jared Polis, The Denver Post reported.
