This is a copy of a letter I e-mailed to the Senator:

Senator Richard Shelby
SH-110, United States Senate
Washington, DC 20510

Dear Senator Shelby,
I'm writing to express appreciation for your work to improve the plight of America's working poor, especially Black Americans.

Martin Luther King Day honors his life and work pushing America for fairness for all citizens. In that framework, your immigration voting record should be applauded because you consistently voted for immigration policies that protect the poor people among your constituents.

Your immigration voting record on www.Congressgrades.org is really good. This means you put the working poor in our area ahead of cheap-labor businesses.

Thank you for your pro-worker and pro-poor positions with regard to immigration. I hope you'll keep up the good work this year.

P.S. Keep up the good work!
