Your funny! Wink
You failed to point out the $$$$$$$1.gazillion dollars he asked for to fight a war that is unpopular and that eventually WILL break the Bank, and the BACK'S of the American workers who have to pay for this FIASCO in IRAQ as taxes eventually must rise to pay for all this carnage to our economy. ( but then you probably use your Credit Cards in the same way to purchase things you can not afford)
Setbacks to the war in Iraq? Do you read, or watch the news, how this war has affected BUSH'S presidency? Common! your Conservative thoughts are trivial bull**** at best.

In WWII the percent of GDP spent on for the military was over 30% for 1943, 1944, and 1945. Today we are spending around 4% of the GDP on the military. 4% may be low because I couldn't find numbers from after "The Surge" (what a stupid name), but I don't think it would rise more than a few percentage points.

On the other hand, money spent badly makes no sense regardless of how much it is.
How much is a gazillion and can I spend it to buy Boardwalk and Park Place to really up my income to a bazillionty dollars a year. Are there any popular wars? The economy is doing well you forgot to point that out when you stated the opposite. I do read and watch news but I also go outside and talk to people. I have no idea what my approval rating is nor do I care. If approval ratings are so important maybe Paris Hilton should be president she is pretty popular.
As I understand it, the resolution is stalled because the Republicans who support Bush will not let it come to the floor. They are trying to find a way to " vote for it, before they can vote against it" so they can have it both ways.

We should all write our senators and demand that they vote to allow the resolution to come to a vote..
