From the Dailykos. They already have a job for Keith. However, do you trust them since they are starting the "Olbermann 2010" web site?

Senator Keith Olbermann

So … now that Keith has been thrown out by the Comcast merger … he’ll take a few weeks off, clean the garage, maybe go fishing … but a man his age is nowhere near ready for retirement.

He is, however, just old enough, smart enough, polished enough, and has all of the other attributes that would make him a darned good Senator for the state of Connecticut.

So we decided we’d draft him to replace Joe Lieberman …

We’re here at the Pennsylvania Progressive Summit, with @Spedwybabs and I coming in from Illinois, and @drdigipol coming from D.C. The three of us were sitting around the table at lunch Saturday talking about Comcast firing Olbermann, and I don’t even know who said “Maybe we should draft him for a Senate race”, but ninety minutes later the Draft Keith Olbermann page was up, the @DraftOlbermann Twitter account was rolling, and the Draft Keith Olbermann DailyKos account was registered.

Tomorrow the Olbermann 2010 web site will go live, pointing at the Facebook page. We’re using our full set of campaign tools but they won’t go active until we get a little downtime while we’re in D.C. I’ve invited the wardogs to come out and play and a couple of them have already expressed interest. The effort has, after eight hours, 227 Facebook fans and 120 Twitter followers. I’ve got messages back from folks with Facebook groups that have five digit subscriber counts indicating that they’ll help. This effort will get its legs under it very shortly.

And THAT would be a good thing, since Franken has proven very capable as a senator!

"Fortunately Senator Al Franken (D-MN) was on hand to set the record straight on two counts. Watch the below clip, snipped by firedoglake.com, as Franken elevates the term “judicial activist” out of the meaningless context in which it is so often used, successfully defending Marshall’s legacy in the process.

Within his assessment of the “Judiciary Committee Winners and Losers,” Harper’s Contributing Editor and legal expert Scott Horton highlighted Franken’s performance:

…I applaud Al Franken. Not only did he provide an alternative point of interest during slow points with his skillful doodling, Franken also proved himself an astute student of the Republicans. For years, they have used confirmation hearings to take their digs at their least favorite judges and judicial policies. Franken has responded in kind, taking a deep look at the Roberts court’s strange biases in favor of business and against labor and its innate hostility to business regulation. Who are those “activist judges” that Sessions complained about? Franken makes a persuasive case that they’re precisely the judges Sessions is so wild about: John Roberts, Sam Alito, Nino Scalia, and Clarence Thomas.'"

Can you imagine getting paid that much to yell and scream and throw paper?

Any 5 year old could do it.

Rush gets $440million for 10 years. $44million a year. $850,000/week. $220,000/day. $75,000/hour.
That contract began in 2008, and it's only 38 mil a year. Olbermann was on tv for one hour one time a day for five days a week.. Rush is on for three hours each day. So if you really care: (not counting any holidays or time off)
Rush 3 hrs/d times 5 days/wk times 52 wks =38 mil..$48,717 per hour.
Olber 1hr/d times 5 days/wk times 52 wks =7.5 mil...$28,846 per hour.
So Rush makes almost twice what Olber did. And we pay players millions to throw a ball to each other while we watch.

radioRush Limbaugh Gets $400 Million To Rant Through 2016

NYT: Striking a deal estimated to be worth $400 million through 2016, the conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh has renewed his contract with Clear Channel Communications and its syndication subsidiary Premiere Radio Networks.

The contract renewal was announced Wednesday by the companies, and the financial details were provided by Mr. Limbaugh in an interview with The New York Times Magazine for an article to be published on Sunday. In the interview, Mr. Limbaugh said the new contract would pay him about $38 million a year for eight years. He also said he would receive a $100 million signing bonus.

The deal, which comes a month shy of the 20th anniversary of “The Rush Limbaugh Show,” reiterates Mr. Limbaugh’s position as the nation’s leading purveyor of political talk radio. His new contract is believed to be the most expensive in radio since 2004, when Sirius Satellite Radio paid Howard Stern $100 million a year for five years. That deal, however, also covered the staff, production and studio costs for Mr. Stern’s show.
