Does anyone have any information on the hit- and-run accident in Florence Friday in which a woman was severely injured? She was knocked through a stop sign into oncoming traffic and is now in the hospital in Huntsville.

OW! Nope. Hope she's OK.
She was stopped at the STOP sign and someone rammed her into oncoming traffic of both lanes. She has brain swelling, a fractured skull, and a broken collarbone in addition to other injuries. Not good.

Glenwood I think. If she was on Glenwood traffic behind her would be coming downhill. If they didn't stop they could very well have sent her across all the lanes. We were in town but didn't hear anything about it.

OK, I've just been told Glendale, not Glenwood. Corner of Glendale and Florence Blvd.
I was eating in Jack's when the accident happened. The injured lady had to be extricated using the jaws of life gismo by the fire department. She was carried away in an ambulance. Everyone else walked away. The car that appeared to hit her was pulverized in the front end but that driver walked away. There appeared to be third vehicle involved, a truck, that drove away.
Was any of this in the paper??
Don't recall reading it anywhere in the paper. Even checked on Shoals Insider but nothing there. If someone finds the story please post a link here.
