What kind of sheets do you have? Flannel? High count cotton? T-shirt sheets or

Satin?

I bought my favorite sheets at Tuesday Morning. They're white, high thread count cotton. When I was in my twenties, I didn't know anything about thread counts. I'd grown up with sheets manufactured in the 50s and 60s. The good, cotton kind that feel like cool silk.
I went to Walmart and bought some cheapy sheets and no amount of Downy would ever make them feel like anything other than sandpaper.

A lot of people love flannel sheets but I prefer my flannel on a lumberjack. I don't like the slip-slide of satin sheets either. It's cotton for me. Preferably white.

What kind of sheets do you like?

Really there are more than one kind of sheets?

I just go to bed - they magically make themselves up and wash themselves. I never knew they were different (except the satin sheets be we don't have those).

I have a set of 400 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets that I absolutely LOVE!
They were expensive, but I caught them on sale last year on overstock.com,
and got a really good price on them, so I thought what the heck, splurge on them,
and I am so glad that I did.
They are like sleeping on a light fluffy cloud!

600 Thread Count sheets if I remember right and I got them on sale at Target. They do feel pretty darn good when you first cover up. Well worth paying more.

I recently found out that having Egyptian cotton is more important that thread count because of the longer fiber in Egyptian cotton. We tried that recently, and found 400 count Egyptian to be superior to 800 count from other than Egyptian cotton.

I, too in my ignorant youth knew nothing about sheets. Now I cannot stand anything other than "high cotton"...the others literally feel like sandpaper. TJ Maxx sometimes has good sheets.
What is that ad that runs in the paper from Russellville re Egyptian sheet sets?

We have 400 thread count sheets and some that are less. I can immediately tell the difference. The first night we got them I slept better than I have in a long time.

I used to think sheets were just sheets, but they're not. Good sheets are just as important as a good mattress.

My husband and I use the cotton high thread count Egyptian sheets and I try to get at least 250 thread count for the kids. When they start paying room and board I may get them the better ones, too!
