Someone is asking who put us there?

Ian Sanford put us there. Mayor Anderson inherited a "bankrupted" city. Ian would never know what it is like to make a tough decision.

PEJ, you've known Ian for 40 years and you would still vote for him? Friends are friends, but business is business; what short memories people have. What happen to all the Steve Price for mayor mantra. Talk to Steve. He will support Mayor Anderson without question.

Ian did say he couldn't wait to leave office, couldn't wait to get off a sinking ship.

Ian said he didn't care if Brewster school burned down - twice, in a coucil meeting, with village residents present. Fact. Now look at it, Treehouse - sweet little children with a place to go learn.

Lighthouse, get a clue.

Nancy runs the show, it's a puppet regime. "Ian, it's time you went back to work, get a job."

None of you will talk about the tax basis and the thing that is the most important to keep Sheffield alive. All I say is check the budget and see where you are. Who put you there? Whoever you vote for these men, council included need to tell you why there is such a negative budget.. Are they actively seeking businesses to move to Sheffield? Which is very hard because if you look around it is almost a ghost town. What about TVA land are they talking to TVA about releasing some land to buy. Are they talking to the people of the city and trying to find ways to fix the problem or just sitting up there at city hall. Everyone has strong opinions on who to vote for and that is okay..that America. Just please check the budget before making a comment... Shop what little is let in Sheffield. By the way where are all the employees you use to have?

Took your advice Lighthouse.

Found these results:

For this year, the council adopted the most sound budget it has had in many years.

The sales tax has remained around 2 million for several years, including 8 years of Mr. Sanford.

The sales tax has seen a small increase over the last couple of years (7 percent).

The city is not in the red, but instead, in the black for the first time in years.

Also, I understand that money is going back into the school system, but no mention of exactly how much yet.

Ask Dr. Gardner about the money the school is getting and then tell me all the money it is getting? That is not what he said at an in-service meeting at the first of the school year. They are only getting a police officer back after a year without one. I wonder who you talked to? Was it some one who actually handles the budget? Dr. Gardner said no money was coming to the school.

Dr. Gardner has stated in a recent meeting that the city was giving some amount of money back. Check your facts and then speak.
