I vote in District 5 in Sheffield. As I was leaving the polling place, a van with about 6 extremely old ladies was pulling in followed by a car with 4 more to go vote. I recognized one of the ladies as living in a nursing home...so I am assuming that's where they all were coming from. I would be honestly shocked (albeit pleasantly) if this referendum passes. Too bad for Sheffield (and that newly proposed resort community that is supposed to be developed).
Just to clarify...for the inevitable PC people that will freak out on me...I am not saying that old folks living in nursing homes do not have the right to vote; of course they do. It is merely my opinion that those folks are being bussed in to vote against the referendum and that it is highly UNlikely that they would be doing so for anything else.
