Does anyone know what happened on the east-bound side of Shoal Creek Bridge on 72 as you are heading into Killen. A huge section of the fencing that is up above the side of the bridge has been pushed out, and it looks like someone either went off the side of the bridge or almost went off of it. Just wondering if anyone knows what happened. I haven't seen any news reports on it.

We drove by while a trailer was still standing up against the side of the bridge, where the fencing is broken. It was a small utility trailer. There were several cars parked off the bridge. I couldn't tell which car had been pulling it, or if anyone was hurt. No ambulance was there at the time.

It looked like something that could have been really bad for a lot of people. But I guess the only casualties were the trailer and bridge since it didn't make the paper.

Last Thursday, June 3rd the trailer (mentioned earlier) became unhooked from the vehicle that was pulling it and went up and hit the fence. No injuries. Just someone who I hope has good insurance.

How does that work? I know you owe if you hit a power pole. Do you also owe if you damage a bridge/railing?

I pull a horse trailer from time to time. Loose trailers are my biggest nightmare. Not because of the $$$, of course, but because my horse would probably be in there. Frowner

...and they are also probably texting.

LOL! You're prolly right. Just about every vehicle I pass the driver has their hand to their ear.

Oh...Yeah...

LOL againz. Big Grin

Unfortunately Id rather have their hand to their ear than their eyes on their laps (looking at the phone to text.) At least if their hand is to their ear they have a chance of keeping their eyes on the road.....

I saw that. It looks like someone wiped out, probably was texting!

Are you kidding me? Why is everyone that has a wreck automatically texting? You need to grow up because that comment was just ridiculous and entirely unneccessary.

When you are driving down the road, look up from your screen, and look at all the folks chatting and texting on their phones around ya.
